We are deeply concerned for this individual's well-being and will bring his needs before the Lord in prayer. Firstly, the omission of Jesus' in the request is concerning. We must remember, whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Furthermore, there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. There is salvation in no one else. God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name above all other names. The first thing we should pray for him is that he believes in the name of Jesus Christ.
We are reminded of Psalm 46:1-3 (WEB), God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up this man to You, asking for Your divine intervention in his life. First, we pray that he comes to believe and trust in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.
Lord, he is in desperate need of a safe and affordable place to live as he faces this challenging diagnosis. We ask that You guide him to the right apartment or house that he can afford, and that You soften the hearts of those who can help him in his time of need. We pray in Jesus' name, that he would be able to start his cancer treatment as soon as possible and that You would heal him physically and spiritually.
We also pray that You would surround him with Your love and peace, and remind him that You are always with him, even in his darkest hours. Give him the strength and courage to face this trial, and help him to trust in Your goodness and faithfulness.
Lord, we also ask that You would provide for his financial needs and that You would open doors for him to receive the support and care he needs. We pray that Your will be done in his life, and that You would use this trial to draw him closer to You.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage him to trust in the Lord with all his heart, and lean not on his own understanding. In all his ways he should acknowledge Him, and He will make his paths straight, as stated in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB).
