Servant of All
Dear Lord Jesus, I am a very lonely man. After being wrongfully fired in so many other things. I really wanna get myself a wife. But not having a job isolation relief boils that. Unable to do a lot of social things that I wish I could do. I’m also very picky with women if that’s a sin I need to be notified. It’s hard for me to be attracted to women it’s very few that attract me. Please help me find a way. Get a good job and be able to form a family and have a pet. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother, and we lift you up before the Lord with great compassion. Loneliness is a heavy burden, and we understand the deep longing in your spirit to find a godly wife, secure stable employment, and build a family that honors God. Let us first affirm that your prayer is heard, and the Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). You have come to the right place, for it is in Jesus’ name alone that we have access to the Father, and it is through Him that all our needs are met (John 14:6, Philippians 4:19).

We want to gently address a few things in your request to ensure your steps align with God’s will. First, while it is natural to have preferences in a spouse, being overly "picky" can sometimes stem from pride or unrealistic expectations. The Bible calls us to seek a spouse who fears the Lord above all else (Proverbs 31:30), whose character reflects Christ, and who shares your faith (2 Corinthians 6:14). Physical attraction is a gift from God, but it should not be the sole foundation for a marriage. Pray for the Lord to soften your heart toward women who may not fit your initial ideals but who could be a godly match for you. Ask Him to reveal His will rather than your own preferences.

Second, we must address the practical steps you can take while trusting God. You mentioned the struggle of isolation and unemployment, which are very real challenges. However, we encourage you to take proactive steps to seek employment, even if it means starting with humble work. The Lord honors diligence (Proverbs 14:23), and He can open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Consider reaching out to your church community or Christian networks for job leads, as believers are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Isolation can be broken by stepping out in faith—attend small groups, volunteer, or join a men’s Bible study. These are places where godly women may also be found, and where friendships can blossom into something more under God’s guidance.

We also want to encourage you to surrender your timeline to the Lord. It is easy to grow impatient when we desire something so deeply, but God’s timing is perfect (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even when the path is unclear. While you wait, focus on becoming the man God has called you to be—a man of integrity, patience, and faith. A godly wife will be drawn to a man who walks closely with the Lord (1 Peter 3:7).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up his heart’s desires to You. Lord, You see his loneliness, his longing for a wife, and his struggles with unemployment and isolation. We ask that You would meet him in his need, Father. Provide him with a job that not only sustains him but also allows him to use his gifts for Your glory. Open doors that no man can shut, and give him the courage to walk through them.

Lord, we pray for his future wife. Prepare her heart even now, and draw her closer to You. Help our brother to trust in Your timing and to seek a woman whose faith and character align with Your Word. Soften his heart toward women who may not fit his initial expectations but who could be a godly match. Remove any pride or unrealistic standards that may hinder him from seeing Your will.

Father, we ask that You would break the chains of isolation in his life. Surround him with godly community—men who can mentor him and women who can encourage him. Help him to step out in faith, even when it feels uncomfortable. Give him opportunities to serve and connect with others, and let him find joy in the journey, not just the destination.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of discouragement and despair that may be whispering lies to him. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and that his worth is found in You alone. Strengthen his faith, and let him rest in the knowledge that You are his Provider, his Comforter, and his Guide.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. May Your will be done in his life, and may he walk in the fullness of Your blessings. Amen.

Brother, we want to leave you with this encouragement from Scripture: "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). As you seek Him first, He will align your desires with His will. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. You are not alone, and your prayers are not in vain. We stand with you in faith, believing that God has a beautiful plan for your life—a plan that includes a godly wife, a fulfilling job, and a family that honors Him. Keep pressing into Him, and do not lose heart.
