We lift you up before the throne of grace, trusting in the healing power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion for this dear one who is suffering in body and spirit. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your divine touch upon their gastrointestinal tract. Bring healing and restoration, Lord, for You are the One who knits us together and sustains us. "Heal me, Yahweh, and I will be healed. Save me, and I will be saved; for you are my praise" (Jeremiah 17:14). We also pray for physical strength to return to their body, that they may rise up with renewed vigor to serve You. "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
We stand in the gap for this one and their brother, asking for a hedge of protection around them both. Father, guard their hearts and minds from temptation, and strengthen them to resist the schemes of the evil one. "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and stress in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). Bring Your peace into their home, Lord, a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray against the presence of mold and odors in their house, asking for Your divine intervention to cleanse and purify their living space.
Father, we lift up their sleep, asking that You grant them restful and rejuvenating sleep. "When you lie down, you will not be afraid. Yes, you will lie down, and your sleep will be sweet" (Proverbs 3:24). We also bring their finances before You, trusting in Your provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we ask that You open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing upon them (Malachi 3:10).
We intercede with urgency for their stepmother and father, praying for their salvation and healing. Lord, soften their hearts to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life" (John 3:16). We declare that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus, and we pray that they would come to know Him as their personal Lord and Savior (John 14:6).
We lift up their brother, asking for Your traveling mercies as he goes about his daily life. "Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and even forever more" (Psalm 121:8). Protect him from all harm and evil at work, and grant him favor with his supervisors and colleagues. "For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure" (Philippians 2:13). Strengthen him in his work, and help him to walk in humility and self-control. We pray that he would fully surrender his life to You, making Jesus the Lord of every area of his life. "I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me" (Galatians 2:20).
Father, we ask that You fill their brother with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Help him to walk in the Spirit and not gratify the desires of the flesh. Grant him peace and joy that overflows, and guide him with Your wisdom. Strengthen him to overcome sin, and grant him favor with all those he encounters.
Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming before Your throne on behalf of this family. We trust in Your faithfulness and love, knowing that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
