Plea for financial establishment

Disciple of Prayer
I’m not working right now, because I’m waiting on God to grant me permanent residency which will then grant me the green signal to be able to work. (The Lord is great I’m volunteering in a ministry) however I’m single and have reached the age of marriage, but I live in a shelter. Now my prayer Lord please let me be consistently financially established to not be poor. Because the Bible says “So even though wisdom is better than strength, those who are wise will be despised if they are poor. What they say will not be appreciated for long.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I do have some church community around me, I ask the Lord to not let me meet my future husband until He brings me out of this poor phase!!!! I don’t want to be despised To be able to afford rent and food. I do want to thank the Lord for He has given me notable amount of savings from my previous job. And that’s a great blessing for today.

We understand your heart’s cry for financial stability and the deep desire to honor God in every season of your life, including the longing for a godly marriage. Your trust in the Lord’s timing is commendable, and we rejoice with you that He has provided savings to sustain you during this waiting period. It is clear you are seeking His will, and that is a beautiful testimony of faith.

First, let us address the foundation of your request: your relationship with Christ. While you mention the Lord, we notice that the name of Jesus is not invoked in your prayer. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we are saved. As Scripture declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'* (John 14:6, WEB). *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to reign in your heart. Without this, no amount of financial stability or earthly blessing will satisfy the deepest longing of your soul.

Now, let us turn to the matter of your financial establishment. You are wise to seek the Lord’s provision rather than rushing ahead in your own strength. The Scripture you referenced from Ecclesiastes 9:16 (though quoted from the NLT, we will use the WEB) reminds us that wisdom is often overlooked when paired with poverty, but we must also remember that *"the blessing of Yahweh brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it"* (Proverbs 10:22, WEB). Your current season of waiting is not in vain. The Lord sees your faithfulness in volunteering for ministry despite your circumstances, and He promises to reward those who diligently seek Him. *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB). We encourage you to continue stewarding the savings He has given you wisely, trusting that He will provide for your every need as you wait on Him.

As for your desire for marriage, we commend your heart to wait for the Lord’s timing. It is right to seek a godly spouse, one who will honor Christ and walk with you in faith. However, we must gently remind you that marriage is not the ultimate solution to financial struggles or the fear of being despised. A godly marriage is a beautiful gift, but it is not the source of your worth or security—those are found in Christ alone. *"Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised"* (Proverbs 31:30, WEB). We pray that the Lord prepares you during this season, refining your character and deepening your trust in Him so that when He does bring a godly husband into your life, you will be fully ready to serve Him together.

We also want to address the fear of being despised due to poverty. While it is natural to desire respect and stability, we must remember that our identity is in Christ, not in our financial status. Jesus Himself was despised and rejected (Isaiah 53:3), yet He was the richest in spirit and the most honored by the Father. *"For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich"* (2 Corinthians 8:9, WEB). Do not let the fear of man or the opinions of others dictate your trust in the Lord. He is your provider, your defender, and your honor.

Finally, we urge you to remain active in your church community. They are a tangible expression of God’s care for you. Share your needs with them, allow them to support you in prayer and practically, and serve where you can. *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2, WEB). The body of Christ is meant to function together, and your brothers and sisters in faith can be a great encouragement to you during this time.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before Your throne of grace, asking that You meet her every need according to the riches of Your glory in Christ Jesus. Lord, we thank You for her heart of faith and her desire to wait on You. We pray that You would expedite the process of her permanent residency, opening doors that no man can shut, so that she may work and provide for herself in a way that honors You. Give her wisdom to steward the savings You have already provided, and let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Father, we rebuked any fear or anxiety in her heart about her financial future or the opinions of others. Remind her that her worth is found in You alone, and that You are her provider, her shield, and her exceeding great reward. Let her trust in You grow deeper each day, knowing that You will never leave her nor forsake her.

We also pray for her future husband, wherever he may be. Prepare him, Lord, to be a man after Your own heart, one who will lead her spiritually and love her as Christ loves the church. Let their union be founded on You and glorify Your name. But until that time, we ask that You satisfy her longings with Your presence, filling her with Your peace and joy.

Lord, surround her with Your favor as with a shield. Let her find joy in this season of waiting, knowing that You are working all things together for her good. Strengthen her through Your Word and the fellowship of believers. May she continue to seek You first, trusting that all these things will be added unto her.

We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.

Dear friend, we've been praying for you and we want to encourage you today. We're with you in your wait for permanent residency and the financial stability that will follow. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is faithful and He sees your faithfulness in volunteering and trusting Him.

We want to remind you of something personal. Do you remember when you first surrendered your life to Jesus? The joy and peace that came with that decision? Let's hold onto that. Trust in Him, not just for your finances, but for your whole life. He's got you, and He's working all things together for your good.

We also want to share something practical. Have you considered reaching out to your church community more? They're there to support you, to pray with you, and to help where they can. It's a tangible expression of God's care for you. Don't hesitate to share your needs with them.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come before You today, laying our ###'s needs at Your feet. We thank You for her faith and her trust in You. Lord, we ask that You would speed up the process of her permanent residency, opening doors that no man can shut. Give her wisdom to manage the savings You've already provided, and let it be a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Lord, we also ask that You would fill her with Your peace and joy, satisfying her longings with Your presence. Surround her with Your favor, like a shield. Strengthen her through Your Word and the fellowship of believers. Help her to seek You first, trusting that all these things will be added unto her.

In Jesus' mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen."
