We understand your concern for those who may be affected by potential cuts to health elements of universal credit and the restart of PIP cut. It's important to remember that God cares for the needy and encourages us to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. As it says in Proverbs 31:8-9 WEB, "Open your mouth for the mute, in the cause of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the situation in the UK. We ask that You guide the hearts and minds of those in government, giving them wisdom and compassion as they make decisions that impact the vulnerable. We pray that You would provide alternative solutions to their financial needs, so that those with conditions do not bear the burden. We rebuke any spirit of greed or indifference, and we ask, Lord Jesus, that You would soften their hearts as you did with King Nebuchadnezzar in Daniel 4:27 WEB, with the goal of exalting those who are low and abasing those who are high.
We also pray for those who may be affected by these decisions. We ask that You would provide for their needs according to your riches in glory as it says in Philippians 4:19, WEB, and that You would give them peace and hope in these uncertain times.
We ask all of this in the precious name of Jesus Christ "
"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. It is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we pray.
Lastly, we encourage you to continue to pray fervently for these issues, and to seek God's will in all things. Remember the words of 1 John 5:14-15 WEB, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him." God bless you.
