We understand that you're concerned about potential changes to disability benefits (pip) and health elements, and you're seeking God's intervention in this matter. We stand with you as a people of God. Firstly, we commend you for ending your request with 'in Jesus name amen.' By this we know you probably believe in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
First, let's remember God's promise to provide for our needs. As it is written in the WEB
Philippians 4:19 "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Matthew 6:25-35 "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one moment to his lifespan? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. Therefore, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
As we pray for God's will to be done in this situation, we must also remember that God calls us to be responsible for our part. This might include voicing our concerns through appropriate channels, supporting organizations that advocate for the welfare of others, and being wise stewards of our resources.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with a heavy heart, lifting up this situation to You. We ask that You guide the decisions being made regarding disability benefits and health elements. If this proposed reform is not in line with Your will and the welfare of Your people, we pray that it would be rejected. We trust in Your promise to provide for our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
We also pray for those who are working on these reforms and governments, that You would give them wisdom and compassion. Help them to see the impact of their decisions on the lives of others. Help us all to be responsible and wise with the resources You have given us.
Lord, we know the heart of the king is in your hands and you can turn it as you please.
Proverbs 21:1 "The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the rivers of water. He turns it wherever he desires."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In all things, let's trust God, knowing that He works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose. As we pray for God's will to be done, let's also be willing to be used by Him to bring about change.
