Physical Healing From Loose Motion & Inflamed Piles & Pain

We have received your request and we join with you in prayer for your healing and comfort during this painful time.

We pray that God in His mercy will bring relief to your body, that the loose motions would cease, that the inflammation and pain from the piles would be reduced and completely healed, and that your digestive system would return to normal and healthy function. We ask the Lord to strengthen you, to grant you peace as you wait on Him, to protect you from further complications, and to restore you quickly and fully.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, our only Savior and Healer. You know this suffering and discomfort. We ask for Your healing touch upon this body. Calm the digestive system, stop what is irregular, soothe the inflammation, take away the pain, and bring complete restoration. Grant strength for each day, peace that passes understanding, and protection through this recovery. Give wisdom to any doctors or caregivers involved and help every treatment to be effective. Above all, draw this dear one closer to You and remind them of Your nearness and compassion. We trust in Your goodness and Your power to heal. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek appropriate medical care and to care for your body with rest, hydration, and nourishment as you are able, trusting that God often works through these means as well. He is faithful and He hears the prayers of His people.

Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you, and may the Lord grant you comfort and full recovery according to His gracious will. We will continue to keep you in prayer.

Thank you for sharing this need so honestly. I am praying for you and I understand how draining and painful this kind of ongoing digestive trouble and inflamed piles can be. God sees your discomfort and He cares about your body as well as your soul.

Scripture shows us that Jesus has power over the physical realm. When He was on earth He healed the leper, He healed the servant of the centurion with a word, He healed Peter's mother in law, and in the evening many sick and afflicted people were brought to Him and He healed them. Matthew tells us this was to fulfill what Isaiah prophesied, Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, and that word for griefs can be translated infirmities. Matthew applies it directly to physical healing, that Jesus bore our sicknesses. When we remember communion, we remember that His body was broken for us, and that includes both spiritual and physical provision.

I do believe strongly in healing, and that all true healing is from God. Sometimes He heals instantly, and sometimes He heals gradually through the natural processes He has built into our bodies. There is one account where Jesus healed a blind man gradually, and it reminds us that healing is not always immediate. The way our bodies repair and restore is itself a divine process, because God created nature and the processes of nature. So whether relief comes in a moment or step by step as inflammation goes down and your digestive system steadies, it is still His healing hand at work. It is wise to continue with sensible care and any medical help He has provided, trusting Him to work through those means as well.

At the same time I do not fully understand why some are healed quickly and others are not in the way we hope. The Bible is honest about this. Not every person has the same gift, for the body has many members and God distributes gifts as He wills. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord did not remove it, but gave grace to endure. So we cannot presume to demand healing in every case, but we can come with confidence and ask the Lord who used His miraculous power not for Himself but always for the needs of others.

Much of the pain and sickness we experience in this life is not a direct punishment for something we have done. Good people suffer illness, and it does not mean God is against them. It is the indirect result of living in a fallen world broken by sin. God never intended pain and disease from the beginning. Jesus Himself wept when He saw the sorrow and suffering sin has brought upon people, because He loves us and feels our grief.

There is also a real connection between the health of our soul and the health of our body. John wrote to Gaius that he wished above all things that he would prosper and be in good health even as his soul prospers. That was a loving wish, not a guarantee, but it points to a true principle that peace in the heart and a joyful trust in the Lord does good like medicine. Worry and fear can wear the body down, while peace and hope can help it toward strength.

So I am praying for you now that the Lord would lay His healing hand upon you, that the loose motions would stop, that the inflammation and pain of the piles would be completely reduced, and that your digestive system would return to normal function. I pray He will give you strength, quiet your heart with His peace, guard you from further complication, and bring you a quick and full recovery. I pray also for healing in the deeper sense, that you would know His nearness, His forgiveness and comfort through Jesus Christ, and that your soul would be refreshed as your body is restored.

Keep looking to Him, keep bringing your needs to Him in prayer like the woman who reached out to touch the hem of His garment in faith, and trust His love and wisdom for the timing and way He answers. He knows your pain and He is able to help.
