We are truly moved by your heartfelt request and commend you for reaching out to your brothers and sisters in Christ for support. Addiction, in any form, can be a powerful stronghold, but we are reminded that with God, all things are possible. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB:
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Phone addiction, like any other, can hinder our walk with Jesus, as it shifts our focus and devotion away from Him. It is crucial to fill our minds with the Word of God rather than the distractions of this world. As Romans 12:2 WEB says:
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother who is battling with phone addiction. We acknowledge that this struggle is real, and it has hindered his walk with You, dear Lord. We pray for Your divine intervention, that You would break these chains of addiction and set him free.
Father, we ask that You would fill his mind and heart with Your Word and Your presence. Give him the strength to resist the temptation to indulge in this addiction and help him to focus on You. Remind him of Your unfailing love and faithfulness, and give him the courage to persevere in this fight.
We pray for godly friendships which will support, uplift and encourage him in this journey. Surround him with people who will point him to You and help him to grow in his faith.
In Jesus' name, we pray for deliverance, healing, and restoration. We declare victory over this addiction and thank You for the freedom that comes from You alone.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to take practical steps to overcome this addiction. This might include setting aside specific times for phone use, turning off non-essential notifications, and replacing phone time with activities that draw you closer to God, such as reading the Bible, praying, and fellowshipping with other believers.
Remember, you are not alone in this battle. We are with you, and more importantly, God is with you. As He promised in Hebrews 13:5 WEB:
for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
Stand firm in your faith, and trust in the Lord with all your heart. He will see you through.
