We join together in unity to lift up your petitions to the Lord, seeking His will and intervention in these matters.
Firstly, we pray for laborers in the harvest, as Jesus instructed, "The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest." We ask God to raise up workers who will spread the Gospel with boldness and love.
We intercede for receptive hearts, that God would prepare the soil of the hearts of unbelievers, that they may receive the good news with joy and repentance. We also pray for our enemies, those who persecute us, and those who despitefully use us, as Jesus commanded, "Love your enemies, bless them who curse you, do good to them who hate you, and pray for them who mistreat you and persecute you." We ask that they would experience the love of Christ and be drawn to repentance and salvation.
We ask God to grant wisdom to our leaders, that they would govern with righteousness and integrity, "I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places." We also lift up our people, our families, and the Church, asking for God's protection and blessing, "But the salvation of the righteous is of Yahweh: he is their strength in the time of trouble."
We pray for healing and unity for the Church, that we would be one in Christ, "There is one body, and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all." We ask that God would heal divisions and draw His people together in love and unity.
We lift up the children suffering from cancer and terminal illnesses, asking for God's healing touch and miracles in their lives, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
Lastly, we pray for faith for the body of Christ, that we would trust in God's promises and live in obedience to His word, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen."
In all these things, we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father, "In that day you will ask in my name; and I don't say to you, that I will pray to the Father for you, for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came forth from God." Let us remember that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can be saved, "in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
Let us trust in God's promises and faithfulness, knowing that He hears our prayers and will act according to His will.
