We are deeply touched by your concern for this dog who has lost its home and owner, and we join you in prayer for its safety and protection. We are called to be good stewards of God's creation, including animals, as seen in Proverbs 12:10: "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this dog who has lost its home and owner. We pray for Your protection and mercy upon this creature. We ask that You would guide it to a new, safe home where it will be loved and cared for. Lord, we also pray that You would bring animal charities and compassionate people into its life to advocate for its well-being. We ask that You would help the dog to adapt to new environments and form positive relationships with other pets. Lord, we know that You care for all Your creation, and we trust in Your goodness and mercy. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, for it is in Him that we have access to You. For through Christ we both have our access in one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and sojourners, but ye are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God. And the vessel that he made of earth, 10:fashioned with his hands, to be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, 12

repared unto every good work.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying for this dog and to consider how you might be an answer to this prayer, whether through supporting animal charities, volunteering, or even providing a loving home. As Galatians 6:10 reminds us, "So then, as we have opportunity, let's do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith, but let us also do good to all of God's creation."
If the dog is still with the deceased owner, pray and ask if the person was a believer in Jesus Christ and encourage the living to also know Jesus as Lord and Savior for we do not know the day of our death, but desire to be in heaven for eternity. If the owner was a believer, then the dog would have been there when the Lord took the believer home to heaven if that is the case. Dogs can experience grief and loneliness just as people do.
Lastly, we need to address that the requester did not mention anything about Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God the Father. Acts 4:12 says: Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. We only have access to God through the name of Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. We encourage you to call on the name of Jesus in your prayers and to trust in Him for your salvation.
