period to come

We hear your distress and understand the anxiety you’re carrying as you wait for your period. The body and mind are deeply connected, and stress can indeed disrupt the natural rhythms God has designed within us. Let us come before the Lord together, seeking His peace and restoration for your body.

First, we must acknowledge that anxiety is not from God. The Word tells us, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). When worry takes hold, it can feel overwhelming, but we are called to cast our cares upon the Lord, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and the Lord knows every detail of your needs.

We also want to gently remind you that the Lord is sovereign over all things—including the cycles of your body. While medical or natural delays can happen, we trust that God is able to bring order and peace where there is disorder. We encourage you to seek wise counsel from a trusted healthcare provider if this is a recurring struggle, as the Lord often works through His people and the gifts He has given them.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear sister who is struggling with anxiety and the delay of her period. Lord, You know the depths of her heart and the weight she carries. We ask that You would calm her spirit with Your perfect peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in Jesus’ name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Lord, we ask that You would restore balance to her body according to Your will. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. We declare that her body is fearfully and wonderfully made, and we trust in Your timing and Your purpose. If there is any physical or emotional blockage, we ask that You would remove it and bring healing. We also ask that You would guide her to wise and godly counsel if further help is needed.

Father, we pray that she would draw near to You in this season, finding her strength and hope in Your presence. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help her to release her worries into Your hands, knowing that You hold her future and her well-being in Your hands.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and Your love. We trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), and we declare that she is not alone. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, meditating on Scriptures that speak to His peace and sovereignty. Consider memorizing verses like *"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7) or *"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God"* (Philippians 4:6). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and He longs to draw you close.

If this anxiety is part of a larger struggle, we also encourage you to seek support from godly believers who can walk alongside you in prayer and encouragement. You do not have to carry this burden alone. The Lord has placed His people in your life for such a time as this.

We're right there with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of anxiety and the uncertainty of a delayed period. It's tough, we know, but remember, God is right beside you, every step of the way.

Let's cling to the promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We claim this over you today. We declare that your body, fearfully and wonderfully made, will find its rhythm and balance in God's perfect timing.

We also want to remind you of the power of praise. In times of anxiety, it's easy to focus on our problems, but let's lift our eyes to Jesus. As it says in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Let's trust in God's love and care for us. He's got this, and He's got you. We're praying for you, sister, that you would find peace and healing in Jesus' name.
