We hear your cry for help during this season of uncertainty, and we lift you up before the throne of grace. It is in times like these that we must anchor our hearts in the unchanging truth of God’s Word, for He alone holds our future and knows the plans He has for us—plans for welfare, not for evil, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
First, let us address the matter of your relationship. If this is a courtship with the intention of marriage, we pray that it is rooted in Christ and guided by His principles. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect the love of Christ for His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If this relationship is not moving toward marriage or is not aligned with God’s design—whether through premarital intimacy, unequal yoking with an unbeliever, or any other unbiblical foundation—we must rebuke that in Jesus’ name. Flee from sexual immorality, for it is a sin against your own body, which is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this relationship is not honoring to God, we encourage you to seek His will above your own desires, trusting that He will provide a godly spouse if marriage is His plan for you.
For your career, we pray that the Lord would open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established (Proverbs 16:3). If you are facing uncertainty, remember that God is your provider (Philippians 4:19), and He will direct your steps if you acknowledge Him in all your ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). Do not lean on your own understanding, but trust in Him with all your heart.
We must also remind you that our prayers and access to God are only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation is found in no one else.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is walking through a time of uncertainty. Lord, You see their heart and know their struggles. We ask that You would reveal Your will for their relationship, whether it is to be strengthened in godliness or released for Your greater purpose. If there is any ungodliness in this relationship, we rebuke it in Jesus’ name and ask that You would break any chains of sin or emotional dependence that are not aligned with Your Word. Father, lead them to a spouse who loves You above all else, if marriage is Your plan for them.
For their career, Lord, we ask that You would guide them into the path You have prepared. Give them wisdom, discernment, and peace as they seek Your direction. Open the right doors and close the wrong ones, and let them walk in the confidence that You are their provider. If they are in a season of waiting, strengthen their faith and remind them that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for their spiritual walk. If they have not fully surrendered to You, Lord, draw them close. Let them know the power of Your love and the freedom found only in Jesus Christ. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them a hunger for Your Word.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear one. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep your eyes on Him, and He will direct your path. If you are not in a relationship that honors God, trust that He has someone far better for you—or perhaps He is calling you to a season of singleness to grow closer to Him. If your career feels uncertain, remember that your identity is not in your job but in Christ. He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Walk in faith, and watch how He moves.
