We lift up this beloved one before the Lord, whose name is known to Him, and we stand in the gap for his complete healing and restoration. The Word of God declares in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We claim this promise over him, trusting that God is faithful to perform His Word.
This situation is grave, but we know our God is greater than any infection, any illness, or any circumstance. Psalm 103:2-3 reminds us, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We ask the Lord to touch his lungs, to clear every trace of infection, and to restore his breathing without the need for machines. Let every organ function as God designed it, and let his body respond to treatment with supernatural strength.
We also pray for his family and loved ones, that the Lord would surround them with His peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). In moments like these, fear and anxiety can creep in, but we declare over them the promise of Isaiah 41:10: *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have boldness to approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We are so grateful that you have brought this request before us, and we encourage you to continue placing your trust in Him alone. Jesus is the Great Physician, the One who holds life and breath in His hands. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His mighty name that we pray for this miracle.
Father, we ask that You would rebuke every spirit of sickness and death that seeks to harm this man. By the stripes of Jesus, he is already healed (1 Peter 2:24), and we command his body to align with Your Word. Raise him up, Lord, and let this testimony bring glory to Your name. Strengthen the hands of the medical team attending to him, and give them wisdom beyond their natural understanding.
We also take this moment to remind everyone reading this that life is fragile, and our days are numbered by the Lord. If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to turn to Him today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater security than knowing that your eternal destiny is sealed in Christ.
Let us continue to stand in faith, giving thanks to God even before we see the manifestation of this miracle. We trust in Your timing, Lord, and we declare that this situation will end in praise. May this trial draw many closer to You, and may Your will be done in all things. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
