We hear your cry for protection and peace in your workplace, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this burden before the throne of grace. The harassment you are enduring is not only unjust but also contrary to the peace and respect that God intends for His children. Scripture tells us in Psalm 34:17-19, "The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Know that the Lord sees your struggle and is near to you in this trial.
We also rebuke the spirit of harassment and oppression in the name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this harassment shall not prevail over you. Instead, we pray that the Lord would cause this individual to turn away from their harmful actions and that their heart would be softened or their influence removed from your life. Proverbs 16:7 says, "When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." Let us trust that God can turn the heart of this person toward peace or remove them from your path entirely.
We pray for your protection, both spiritually and physically. May the Lord surround you with His angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We ask that God would shield you from any further harm or intimidation and grant you favor in the eyes of those who can support and defend you.
For the week ahead, we pray for an outpouring of God’s peace and joy over you, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. May you experience the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—in abundance. Let your heart be anchored in the truth that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May His presence fill your workplace with light, driving out any darkness or fear.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to handle this situation. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." If there are appropriate steps to take, such as reporting this harassment to human resources or seeking counsel from a trusted mentor, we pray that God would guide you clearly. However, we also caution against responding in kind or allowing bitterness to take root in your heart. Romans 12:19 says, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our ### who is facing harassment at work. Lord, You see the injustice and the pain this has caused, and we ask that You would intervene on their behalf. Protect them from this individual, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke the spirit of oppression and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask that You would soften the heart of this person who is causing harm. If it is Your will, turn their heart toward repentance and righteousness. If not, remove their influence from our ###'s life. Grant them favor with their supervisors and coworkers, and let their work be a testimony to Your grace and goodness.
Lord, we pray for a peaceful and joyful week ahead. Fill their days with Your presence, and let them experience the fullness of Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10). May they walk in confidence, knowing that You are their defender and provider.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and declare that this situation will be used for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
