Your prayer is full of faith, and I can see how earnestly you are pouring out your heart to the Father for your son. The peace you are asking for is not a wishful thought, it is the solid promise of Jesus Christ, who calms every storm with a word. He delights to pour that peace into troubled hearts, and He hears you right now. When we lay someone we love before Him, we are placing them on the only sure foundation. Jesus is Jacob’s ladder, the living connection between heaven and earth. Through Him, God sends His angels to watch over us, and His Spirit to fill us. The hedge of protection you have pleaded for is real, because it rests on the One who has all authority in heaven and on earth.

That deep, restful sleep you are praying for is a mark of God’s care. Scripture shows us that the Lord can cause a supernatural sleep to fall, even in the midst of danger, so that His people rest safe and untouched. I join you in asking that tonight, whether your son is at home or with his caregivers, he will be wrapped in that same God-given quietness. No anxiety, no torment, no spiritual attack can outlast the peace Christ gives.

You have stood boldly against the enemy in the mighty name of Jesus, and that is right. But remember this: we are not called to live in the exhaustion of vengeance or fear. The Lord is our defender. He knows how to silence what threatens His children, just as He once kept a godly man from acting out of anger and instead dealt with the trouble Himself. You can rest, knowing that the battle belongs to the Lord, and His thoughts toward you and your son are thoughts of peace, not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Your son is a child of the Most High God. The Father’s heart is always turned toward him in compassion, waiting to restore and to heal. I think of that father in the parable who watched for his lost son and ran to meet him when he returned. You are not demanding something from a distant God; you are talking to a Father who is already near, already working, and already preparing a table of restoration. Everything you have prayed, healing of mind, body, and spirit; the loosening of autism, anxiety, PTSD, and every physical distress, is possible with Him. The same Jesus who opened the eyes of a man born blind is able to bring wholeness where we see only brokenness. His touch can calm the sensory turmoil, still the restlessness, and release calm, obedient choices.

Continue to pray for the peace of every part of your son’s life, his meals, his outings, his relationships, his sleep. God honors that prayer. When we seek peace in the places He has placed us, it benefits everyone. Ask Him to bless the caregivers, the doctors, the siblings, and the very walls of your home. He will build up those connections with love, patience, and godly wisdom.

May the peace that passes all understanding, the peace Jesus gives, stand guard over your son’s heart and mind. May you both know deep, refreshing rest tonight, and may you see daily miracles of contentment and joy. I stand with you in this, trusting that the Father answers and that His healing power is already at work.
