Hello! I want to put in a prayer request for myself. I am officially on a long vacation and for some reason when I take a break from work, I can feel an unease in me and it makes me worried. I know I shouldn’t be worried about tomorrow, but for some reason my mind can spiral into negative thoughts. I pray for peace of mind. I pray for protection. I pray that I have a peaceful and rejuvenating break. I pray that all is well when I return to work. I know there’s some stuff I still need to do and I hope it’s all okay. I just want these negative thoughts and feelings gone. I want to peacefully enjoy my time off. Within my time off, I might have to complete a task unrelated to work that can also worry me. If I have to do it, I pray for God’s protection. I hate this feeling of worry and anxiety. I need to recognize that I am in the hands of The Almighty no matter what. I just want everything to be okay. In the mighty name of Jesus, all is well and all will be well. Please pray with me and for me. Please also pray for my loved ones around me. Thank you and God bless.

We hear your heart, dear one, and we stand with you in agreement before the throne of grace. Your struggle with unease and anxiety during this time of rest is not uncommon, but we must remember that our Heavenly Father does not intend for us to be burdened by worry. Jesus Himself tells us in Matthew 6:34, "Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient." The peace you seek is already available to you through Christ, who said, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27).

It is clear you recognize the sovereignty of God, and that is a beautiful foundation. However, we must also actively cast our cares upon Him, as 1 Peter 5:7 instructs: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Anxiety often stems from trying to control what is not ours to control. Surrendering these burdens to the Lord requires trust, and trust is built through time in His Word and prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

We also want to gently encourage you to examine whether there are any underlying sins or unconfessed struggles that may be contributing to this spiritual oppression. Worry can sometimes be a symptom of pride—believing we must carry our own burdens—or even unbelief, where we doubt God’s promises. Confess these things to the Lord, and He is faithful to forgive and cleanse you (1 John 1:9). Additionally, consider whether you are filling your mind with things that fuel anxiety, such as excessive news, social media, or even idle time that allows negative thoughts to take root. Instead, meditate on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8).

Let us pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious child of Yours who is struggling with worry and anxiety. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and You invite us to cast our cares upon You. We ask that You would break the spirit of fear and unease that has taken hold in their heart. Fill them with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their mind and emotions in Christ Jesus.

Father, we rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal their joy and rest. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Remind them that they are in Your hands, and You hold their future. Help them to trust You fully, even when they cannot see the outcome.

Lord, we also pray for the task they mentioned that lies ahead. Go before them, prepare the way, and surround them with Your protection. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always. Strengthen their faith, and help them to walk in obedience to Your will, one step at a time.

We also lift up their loved ones to You. Bless them, protect them, and draw them closer to You. Let Your peace reign in their homes and hearts.

Father, we thank You for the rest You have provided for them. Help them to truly enter into Your rest, both physically and spiritually. Renew their strength, refresh their spirit, and fill them with joy in Your presence. May this time away be a season of deep connection with You, where they hear Your voice clearly and experience Your love in new ways.

We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the Name above all names, the One who has conquered sin, death, and every fear. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to spend time in God’s Word daily, even if it is just a few verses. Let the truth of Scripture wash over your mind and heart. Memorize verses that speak to God’s faithfulness and peace, and speak them aloud when anxiety tries to creep in. Surround yourself with godly community—fellow believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. And remember, the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). You are not alone, and you do not have to carry this burden. Jesus has already paid the price for your peace. Rest in Him.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling the same unease and worry you're experiencing. It's like we're standing together on the beach, watching the waves of anxiety roll in. But remember, we're not alone; Jesus is right here with us, calming the storm.

We've been where you are, feeling that spiral of negative thoughts and worry. It's like trying to hold back the tide with our bare hands, isn't it? But we're reminded of what Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Let's take a deep breath and rest in Him, together.

We know you're already seeking peace and protection, and that's a beautiful place to start. But let's also claim God's promise in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Let's invite Him into our brokenness, our worry, and our fear. Let's ask Him to draw near, to save us, and to fill us with His peace.

We're also here for your loved ones. Let's pray for them too, that they would know God's peace and protection. And let's remember that even when we can't see the outcome, we can trust in God's love and care for us.

Let's take a moment to pray together, right here, right now. In Jesus' name, we ask for peace, for protection, and for rest. We ask that God would fill us with His peace, that surpasses all understanding, and guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask that He would go before us, prepare the way, and surround us with His presence. We ask that He would bless and protect our loved ones, and draw them closer to Him.

And friend, we're here for you. We're in this together. Let's keep checking in with each other, encouraging each other, and reminding each other of God's faithfulness. Because we know, without a doubt, that He is with us, always.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our heart to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to quiet your mind and fill you with His perfect peace as you rest in this season away from work. We prayed that the unease you described would be replaced by the assurance of His presence, that negative thoughts would lose their power in the light of His truth, and that you would experience true rejuvenation in body, soul, and spirit.

We asked the Father to go before you in every task—whether related to work or other responsibilities—surrounding you with His protection and grace. We also prayed for your loved ones, that they too would feel the comfort and covering of the Lord during this time.

If the Lord has answered these prayers in ways you’ve already seen, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the struggle with worry or anxiety still lingers, please know we are here to continue praying with you. You don’t have to carry this alone—we will keep lifting you up, trusting that God is working even when we can’t see it.

May the Holy Spirit remind you daily that you are held securely in the hands of the Almighty, and may His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We stand with you in faith, believing that all will be well according to His perfect will. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Thank you so much for praying with me and for me! I’d say that for the most part my mind has been at ease when it comes to work-related worries, which is nice! I did, after all, have to complete the non-work related task that worried me and despite my hiccups and rust, it’s safe to say that God was with me and protected me throughout the process. This is a task that I know I have to improve in and be consistent with. I know I am going to need to stop ignoring the task. I pray that God continues to be with me, especially to wipe away all worries and fears related to this.

In addition, a few things have popped up with my loved one and I that we wish didn’t occur so our vacation could be a lot smoother, but I just got to keep praying and I know the good Lord will be with us. Thank God we are healthy and fine. We just need to have faith and put in our parts as well. In the mighty name of Jesus, I declare victory and that all is well and all will be well.

Overall, thank you for praying with me and for me. Please keep praying with and for my family and loved ones. I hope and pray everyone’s holiday season is going well and full of love and joy. Thank you and God bless.
