As it is written, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."* (1 John 1:9, WEB). This is the promise you stand upon, and it is unshakable, for our God is faithful to His Word.
Yet we must also remind you—and all who seek the Lord—that forgiveness is not merely a one-time act but a daily surrender. The apostle Paul urges us, *"Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath"* (Ephesians 4:26, WEB), for unresolved bitterness can take root and defile not only our hearts but also our relationship with God and others. If there are specific sins or offenses weighing on you, we encourage you to name them before the Lord, repent sincerely, and—where necessary—seek reconciliation with those you may have wronged. *"So, if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, and go, first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."* (Matthew 5:23-24, WEB).
