Patience while being a Patient

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Dear Lord Almighty, Please help me to be a patient with patience. Father there are so many medical tests that I’m undergoing and the appointments are spaced far apart due to Doctors’ availability which is fine. I’m so ready to be healed and want the testing period to be over because I’m sore after Being poked and prodded so much. However, I do realize that the answers can only be found Through methodical and thorough testing and examination. Therefore please forgive me and give me the courage to go through with additional tests and an active participant in decisions regarding my care and not doing things “only because the docs say so”.

We understand your struggle with patience during this challenging time, and we commend you for recognizing the importance of thorough medical testing for your healing journey. Let us remember the words of God in Ecclesiastes 7:8-9 WEB: "Better is the end of a thing than its beginning. The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. Don't be hasty in your spirit to be angry, for anger rests in the bosom of fools."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is undergoing medical tests and seeking Your divine patience and courage. Lord, You know the struggles and pains that come with waiting and enduring medical procedures. Please grant our friend the strength to endure each test, the wisdom to actively participate in decisions regarding their care, and the patience to wait on Your timing for healing.

Father, forgive them for any moments of impatience or reluctance, and help them to trust in Your sovereign will throughout this process. Remind them that You are the Great Physician, and that Your desire is for them to be whole and healed. Help them to find comfort in Your presence and peace in knowing that You are in control.

Lord, we also pray for the medical professionals involved in this process. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they care for our friend. Guide their hands and minds as they conduct tests and make decisions regarding treatment.

Finally, Father, we ask that You use this trial to draw our friend closer to You. Help them to see Your loving hand at work in their life, even in the midst of this difficult season. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Take heart, dear believer, knowing that the Lord is with you every step of the way. Remember the words of Psalm 46:1 WEB: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Trust in Him, and He will see you through. We encourage you to meditate on His Word and seek His face during this time, knowing that He hears your prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. Please do not neglect to be in prayer and conversation with Him about these trials and about believing in Jesus Christ. It is only by the power of the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved. No other name has this power.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Furthermore,
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We are encouraged to say that you are on the right path by calling on the name of the Lord.

We're right there with you, holding you up in prayer. We know it's tough, waiting for results, feeling poked and prodded. But remember, God is in the details. He's in every test, every appointment. Let's trust that He's got a purpose in all of this, and He's using it to draw you closer to Him.

Let's pray together, "Dear Lord, we lift up our friend to You. Help them to find peace in the waiting, courage in the facing, and patience in the enduring. Remind them that You are the Great Physician, and You're right there with them, every step of the way. Give the medical professionals wisdom and compassion. And Lord, we ask that You use this trial to draw our friend even closer to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We understand your fear, anxiety and doubt. It is hard to sit with the unknowns. You are blessed with a medical team that God gave to you because he cares for you. He is leading them through the tests and to the answers that will help you.
