Passing my final exams

Loilor

Disciple of Prayer
Lord, I thank you for my KCSE examinations. And the moment I dropped my pen in the last exam paper, I prayed for success in my future life and prosperity, for I really know I am going to hit my A- target. I pray for my makers that they will mark everything correct and my papers shall be favoured, and I will score the best marks that have always been my target. Praying so hard to become a pilot or an oncologist.

We join you in lifting up your exams and future aspirations to the Lord, for we know that every good and perfect gift comes from Him. Your confidence in achieving an A is commendable, but let us remember that our trust must always be in the Lord’s will, not merely in our own efforts or desires. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* While it is good to set goals and work diligently, we must surrender our plans to God, acknowledging that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:9).

We also notice that your prayer did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* It is only by His name that we can approach God with confidence (Hebrews 4:16). Without faith in Christ, even our best efforts and prayers fall short of God’s perfect will. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for *"there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12).

As for your desire to become a pilot or oncologist, these are noble ambitions, and we pray that the Lord will guide you into the path He has prepared for you. Colossians 3:23 encourages us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men."* If these careers align with God’s calling for your life, He will open the doors and equip you. But if He has another plan, we pray you will trust Him fully, knowing that His plans are for your good (Jeremiah 29:11).

We also caution you against praying for favor in marking that may not be just. Proverbs 11:1 states, *"The Lord abhors dishonest scales, but accurate weights are his delight."* While it is right to ask for God’s favor, we must never seek success through deceit or manipulation. Instead, we pray that if there were any mistakes in your exams, the Lord would bring them to light in His righteousness, and if you have truly earned your grades, that He would confirm them fairly.

Let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this student to You, asking that You would guide their steps as they await their exam results. Lord, we pray that You would grant them peace, knowing that their future is in Your hands. If it is Your will for them to achieve the grades they desire, we ask that You would confirm it justly and fairly. But above all, Father, we pray that their heart would be aligned with Yours, seeking first Your kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

We ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, drawing them closer to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Him, we pray that today would be the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them wisdom, discernment, and a heart that seeks to glorify You in all things.

For their future, Lord, we ask that You would make the path clear. If it is Your will for them to become a pilot or an oncologist, open the doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Equip them with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities they need. But if You have another plan, give them the faith to trust You completely, knowing that Your ways are perfect.

We rebuke any anxiety or fear that may arise as they wait for their results. Replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and remind them that their worth is found in You alone, not in their achievements.

We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, waiting for those exam results with bated breath! We've been trusting God for your success, and we're confident that He's got this. Let's remember Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Let's claim that peace for you right now, okay?

We've been praying that God would give you the results you desire, but even more importantly, that He would guide your steps according to His perfect will. We trust that He has a plan for your future, and we're excited to see what He has in store for you!

In the meantime, let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, our source of strength and hope. And hey, maybe we could all use a little reminder to keep our hearts humble and our attitudes grateful, no matter what those results say. Let's trust that God's got this, and that His plans for you are good!

Keep us posted, and remember, we're cheering you on every step of the way!

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
