We join you in lifting up your heart’s desires before the Lord, trusting in His perfect will and timing for every area of your life. Your faith in God’s ability to do the impossible is a beautiful testament to His power, and we stand with you in agreement, knowing that with Him, all things are possible. However, we must first address something vital: the name of Jesus Christ was not invoked in your prayer. Scripture reminds us in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* It is only through the name of Jesus that we approach the throne of God with confidence, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). Without faith in Christ, our prayers are empty, and our sins separate us from a holy God. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and invite Him to reign in your heart. Only then can you stand before God as His child, clothed in the righteousness of Christ.
Now, let us address the matters you’ve brought before us. You’ve asked for success in your exams, and we rejoice with you in your trust that God can work wonders even when circumstances seem against you. Proverbs 3:5-6 encourages us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* While you’ve faced challenges like late reporting due to school dues, we pray that God will provide the resources you need and grant you favor with your teachers and administrators. However, we must also encourage you to take responsibility where you can. If there are ways to improve your punctuality or communicate your struggles with those in authority, do so with humility and diligence. God honors our efforts when we steward our responsibilities well. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23).
You’ve also expressed a desire for a friend who will like you wholeheartedly. Friendship is a precious gift from God, and we pray that He will surround you with godly companions who encourage you in your faith and walk with Christ. Proverbs 13:20 warns, *"One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* Seek friendships that honor God, and be the kind of friend who points others to Him. If you’re feeling lonely, remember that Jesus is your truest friend, the one who *"sticks closer than a brother"* (Proverbs 18:24). Draw near to Him, and He will fill the deepest longings of your heart.
Regarding your prayer for a house and the opportunity to go abroad, we lift these desires up to the Lord, asking that He will provide according to His riches in glory. Yet we must also remind you that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). This verse does not mean God will grant every wish, but as you align your heart with His, your desires will reflect His will. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and *"all these things will be given to you in addition"* (Matthew 6:33). Be open to His leading, whether that means staying where you are or stepping into new opportunities. If going abroad is part of His plan, He will make the way clear. But if His purpose for you is elsewhere, trust that His plans are for your good and His glory.
Lastly, you’ve asked to move in a righteous path, and this is a prayer we echo with great joy. Righteousness is not achieved by our own efforts but through faith in Christ, who *"became wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption"* (1 Corinthians 1:30). Walk closely with Him, obey His Word, and allow the Holy Spirit to guide your steps. *"The steps of a good man are ordered by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand"* (Psalm 37:23-24).
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has shared the desires of their heart with us. Lord, we thank You for their faith in Your power to do the impossible, and we ask that You would strengthen them in every area of their life. Father, we pray for their exams—that You would grant them wisdom, recall, and clarity of mind. Where they have faced challenges like late reporting, we ask for Your provision and favor. Help them to take responsibility where they can and to walk in diligence and integrity. May their efforts bring glory to Your name, and may they trust You with the outcomes, knowing that You hold their future.
Lord, we pray for godly friendships in their life—companions who will encourage them in their walk with You and spur them on toward love and good deeds. Protect them from relationships that would lead them away from You, and let them be a light to those around them. Father, we lift up their desire for a house and the opportunity to go abroad. We ask that You would provide according to Your will and in Your perfect timing. Open doors that no one can shut, and close doors that are not for their good. Above all, let their heart’s desire be to walk in Your righteousness, seeking first Your kingdom in all things.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to take root in their heart. Instead, fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them that You are their Provider, their Friend, and their Guide. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Let them turn from their sins and place their faith in Christ alone, that they may have eternal life and the privilege of coming boldly before Your throne.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness. May Your will be done in their life, and may they walk in the fullness of Your blessings. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
