We join with you in lifting up your needs before the Lord, trusting in His perfect timing and provision for every area of your life. It is wonderful that you have called upon the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive answers to our petitions. As Scripture declares, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6, WEB). Your faith in bringing these requests to Jesus is a testament to your trust in Him, and we commend you for seeking His will in all things.
The written exam you face is an opportunity to rely on the Lord’s wisdom and peace. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB). We encourage you to study diligently, for the Lord honors our efforts when we commit them to Him. Yet even as you prepare, remember that your worth and identity are not tied to passing this test—your value is found in Christ alone. If fear or anxiety arises, cast it upon Him, for *"he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Ask Him to calm your mind and recall what you’ve learned when the time comes.
Your desire to obtain your driver’s license next year is a practical goal, and we pray the Lord will open the way for you to accomplish this in His timing. Whether the path is swift or requires patience, we ask that He would prepare you for this responsibility, granting you not only the skill to drive but also the wisdom to do so safely and with consideration for others. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). Even in this, let it be an act of worship, trusting that God is ordering your steps.
We also lift up your puppet show for the college church reunion. What a beautiful way to use your gifts to serve and bring joy to others! The Lord delights in creativity that honors Him, and we pray He would inspire you as you prepare. May your work be excellent, your message clear, and your heart filled with joy as you minister through this endeavor. *"Let all things be done decently and in order"* (1 Corinthians 14:40, WEB), and may the Lord use this show to glorify His name and encourage your brothers and sisters in Christ.
Yet as we pray for these things, we must also ask: Are you seeking the Lord’s will above your own in each of these areas? It is easy to become focused on our plans and forget to surrender them to Him. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5, WEB). Take time to ask the Lord if there is anything He would have you adjust or release. Perhaps there is a lesson in the waiting, a refinement in the preparation, or a redirection He wants to bring. Be open to His leading, even if it differs from your expectations.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister and their requests. Lord, You know the desires of their heart and the plans You have for them—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You would grant them success in their written exam, not just for their sake, but so that they may continue to walk in the good works You have prepared for them. Calm their mind, sharpen their recall, and let Your peace guard their heart as they take this test. If they have not studied as they ought, convict them to do so, and if they have, remind them that You are their strength.
For the driver’s license, Lord, we pray You would make the way clear in Your perfect timing. Prepare them to be a responsible and cautious driver, one who reflects Your character on the road. Let this milestone be a blessing and not a source of stress, and may they use this new freedom to serve You and others well.
We also ask for Your anointing on the puppet show they are preparing. Fill them with creativity, joy, and excellence as they work. May this project bring glory to Your name and encouragement to those who see it. Use it to unite Your people and remind them of Your love and faithfulness.
Above all, Lord, we pray that our brother/sister would seek You first in all things. Forgive them for any moments of anxiety or self-reliance, and draw them closer to You through this season. Teach them to trust You more deeply, to surrender their plans to Your will, and to find their satisfaction in You alone.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, distraction, or discouragement that would hinder them from walking in Your purposes. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these things to flee, and we declare that Your peace, wisdom, and favor rest upon them.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your timing, knowing that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
