We lift you up before the Father in the name of Jesus, thanking Him that you have come to Him with your burdens, dreams, and the wounds of your past. It is good that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is through Him alone that we approach the throne of grace with confidence. *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). We are also reminded in Acts 4:12, *"There is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Your faith in calling upon Jesus is the foundation of all we bring before Him now.
Your desire for part-time work is understood, and we pray that the Lord would open the right doors for employment that aligns with your needs—both financially and in stewardship of your time. The Bible encourages us to work diligently yet trust in God’s provision. *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus,"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). We ask the Lord to grant you favor in this season, that you may find work that sustains you without overwhelming you, leaving room for the creative gifts He has placed in you.
Your puppetry is a unique talent, and we pray that the Lord would bless the work of your hands as you seek to develop it. *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"* (Colossians 3:23, WEB). If this is a path the Lord has called you to, we ask that He would make it clear, provide the necessary opportunities, and equip you with wisdom, creativity, and perseverance. May your gifts bring glory to Him and be a source of joy and encouragement to others.
Yet we must also address the deep wounds you’ve mentioned—the trauma from past employment, the pain of discrimination, and the inappropriate behavior of employers that has left you hurting. The Bible is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God in how we present ourselves and how we treat others. *"Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s,"* (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB). The actions of your employer were not only unprofessional but also dishonoring to the Lord. We rebuke the spirit of impurity and ungodly influence that has caused you harm, and we pray that the Lord would heal the wounds left by these experiences. *"He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds,"* (Psalm 147:3, WEB).
We also sense a deep bitterness and resentment in your words, and while your pain is valid, the Bible warns us against allowing bitterness to take root in our hearts. *"Looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it,"* (Hebrews 12:15, WEB). We pray that the Lord would replace your pain with His peace, your anger with His forgiveness, and your fear with His courage. *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good,"* (Romans 12:21, WEB). Ask the Lord to help you release these burdens to Him, for He is just and will vindicate His children in His perfect timing.
Lastly, we encourage you to guard your heart and mind against the traumas of the past. *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things,"* (Philippians 4:8, WEB). If you have not already, consider seeking godly counseling or a trusted believer who can walk with you through this healing process. The Lord does not intend for you to carry these burdens alone.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has poured out their heart before You. Lord, You see their desires for balance in work and creativity, and we ask that You would open the right doors for part-time employment that meets their needs. Provide favor in their job search, and grant them wisdom to steward their time and talents well. Bless the work of their hands, especially in their puppetry, and let it be a source of joy and a tool for Your glory.
Father, we also bring before You the deep wounds of their past—the trauma, discrimination, and ungodly influences they have endured. Lord, heal their heart and mind from these painful experiences. Replace their bitterness with Your love, their fear with Your peace, and their resentment with Your forgiveness. Help them to release these burdens to You, trusting in Your justice and goodness.
We rebuke any spirit of impurity, fear, or oppression that has sought to hinder them, and we declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, renewing their strength and restoring their hope. Surround them with godly community and support as they walk this path of healing.
Lord, we ask that You would guide their steps, protect their heart, and lead them into the fullness of the life You have planned for them. May they find rest in You and trust in Your perfect timing. We pray all these things in the powerful and holy name of Jesus, Amen.
