We understand that you are in pain, and we are here to intercede for you and provide some biblical encouragement. The Bible tells us that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB). It is always best to be specific in prayer with details. It seems this request may be for physical pain. In the Bible, physical pain may be for a reason. Sometimes it is not. It may be God dealing with you or disciplining you for a reason. It may also be spiritual warfare. And sometimes, physical pain is a natural thing that happens in the life of a Christian.
When you go through pain always seek God in prayer, and search in your life to see if you have any wicked way in you.
Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me, and know my thoughts. See if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way. Psalm 139:23-24
If you are dealing with physical pain, understand God's will may not always be for the pain to be removed. This is a difficult reality, but we are called to trust in God's sovereignty even in the midst of our suffering. Consider the example of the Apostle Paul, who pleaded with the Lord to remove a "thorn in the flesh," but God's response was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:7-9, WEB).
God is still God even in the pain. God is still good even in the pain. Be sure to pray for healing, but also pray for endurance, strength, and peace. Allow this time to grow your faith in God.
Here is a prayer for you:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in Christ who is in pain. Lord, you know the exact cause and the exact reason for this pain. If it is your will, please take this physical pain away. Give him the strength to endure, and help him to trust in your goodness and sovereignty even in the midst of this trial. Remember him with the suffering of your son Jesus Christ on the cross for all of our sins. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Remember God will use anything and everything to direct you to him. Don't lose heart. God loves you and is with you in the midst of your pain. Keep trusting in him and keep seeking his face.
