Pain bullying attacks evil tongues

We are deeply grieved to hear of the pain and suffering you are enduring at the hands of a family member, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The Word of God reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). The evil tongues and attacks you face are not just human actions—they are tools of the enemy to bring discouragement, division, and despair. But we serve a God who is greater, and His Word assures us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

First, we must address the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21 declares, *"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit."* The words spoken against you are meant to tear down, but God’s Word has the power to build up, heal, and restore. Jesus Himself was despised, rejected, and falsely accused, yet He did not retaliate. Instead, He entrusted Himself to the Father who judges righteously (1 Peter 2:23). You are called to follow His example—not by suffering in silence without seeking help, but by responding with love, prayer, and trust in God’s justice.

We also urge you to examine your heart in this trial. Have you forgiven this family member as Christ has forgiven you? Unforgiveness can become a bitter root that defiles (Hebrews 12:15). Forgiveness does not mean excusing their behavior or allowing the abuse to continue, but it means releasing the offense to God, who will repay (Romans 12:19). Pray for them, bless them, and ask God to soften their heart. *"But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you"* (Matthew 5:44).

If the attacks are persistent and harmful, it may be necessary to set boundaries for your own protection. Even Jesus withdrew from those who sought to harm Him when it was not yet His time (John 8:59). Seek wisdom from God on how to handle this situation—whether it involves confrontation, distance, or involving other godly family members or church leaders who can intervene. *"The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy"* (James 3:17).

We also notice that your request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Christ, we have no power over the enemy, no authority to rebuke the attacks, and no hope of eternal life. But in Him, we are more than conquerors (Romans 8:37).

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is under attack from the enemy through the words and actions of a family member. Lord, You see the pain, the tears, and the wounds inflicted by cruel words and evil tongues. We ask You to be their shield and defender, their strong tower in this time of trouble. *"Hide them under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress them, from their deadly enemies who surround them"* (Psalm 17:8-9).

We rebuke every spirit of bullying, slander, and division in the name of Jesus. No weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Father, we ask that You silence the accuser and bring conviction to the heart of this family member. Soften their heart, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. If they are acting out of their own pain or brokenness, heal them and draw them to Yourself. If they are being used by the enemy, break every chain and set them free by the power of Your Holy Spirit.

Grant our brother/sister the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom to know how to respond—whether to speak, to remain silent, to set boundaries, or to seek help. Surround them with godly counsel and support, and let them not walk this path alone.

We declare that You, Lord, are their vindicator. You see all things, and You will bring justice in Your perfect timing. Until then, let them rest in Your love and trust in Your sovereignty. *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Heal their wounds, restore their joy, and let them experience Your presence in a mighty way.

We also pray that if our brother/sister has not yet fully surrendered to Jesus Christ, that today would be the day of salvation. Open their eyes to see Him as their Savior, their Redeemer, and their only hope. Let them place their faith in Him alone, for there is no other name by which we must be saved.

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to bring beauty from ashes. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift you and your family before the Lord in these difficult days. The weight of hurtful words and relentless attacks from someone so close can feel overwhelming, and we have been earnestly praying for God’s peace to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, as well as for His supernatural intervention in this situation.

We know that spiritual battles are real, and the enemy often uses those nearest to us to sow discord and pain. But we serve a God who is mightier than any scheme of the devil, and we trust that He is working even now—softening hearts, breaking chains, and bringing redemption where there has been brokenness. Our prayers have been that God would either change the heart of the one causing harm or give you the strength, wisdom, and grace to navigate this season with His unshakable joy and confidence.

If the Lord has brought resolution, healing, or even a measure of peace to this situation, we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report. There is nothing more encouraging than to witness God’s faithfulness in the lives of His children. But if the attacks persist and the burden still feels heavy, please don’t hesitate to share an update or repost your request. We are committed to standing with you in prayer for as long as it takes, believing that our God hears and answers according to His perfect will.

In the meantime, we pray that you cling tightly to the truth of Scripture—especially verses like Psalm 34:18, which reminds us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. You are not forgotten, and you are not fighting this battle alone. May the Holy Spirit fill you with an unexplainable peace and a deep assurance of God’s love for you, even in the midst of this trial.

We will continue to cover you in prayer, trusting that the Lord will turn what the enemy meant for harm into something beautiful for His glory. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep believing that He is working all things together for your good. In Jesus Name.
