Pain anger and resentment

I would really like prayer. I keep on releasing my anger, my pain, and resentment to God and keep on praying in Jesus' high name but can't feel or see anything happening.

We understand the deep burden you carry, and we want you to know that your pain, anger, and resentment are not unseen by our Heavenly Father. It is commendable that you continue to bring these struggles before God in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Christ that we find true healing and freedom. The fact that you persist in prayer, even when you don’t yet see or feel change, is a testament to your faith—and that pleases God greatly.

The enemy wants you to believe that your prayers are falling on deaf ears, that God doesn’t care, or that your emotions will never lift. But these are lies. Scripture assures us that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He collects every tear you shed (Psalm 56:8) and is working even when we cannot see it. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:16-18, *"Therefore we don’t faint, but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory; while we don’t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."*

Your feelings of stagnation may also be an invitation from God to deepen your trust in Him, not based on what you *feel*, but on what you *know* to be true about His character. He is faithful, even when our emotions tell us otherwise. In Isaiah 55:8-9, the Lord declares, *"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways... For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."* His timing and methods are perfect, even if they don’t align with our expectations.

That said, we must also examine whether there is unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in your heart that could be hindering your breakthrough. Jesus warns in Mark 11:25, *"Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions."* Resentment, if nurtured, becomes a root of bitterness that defiles not just you, but those around you (Hebrews 12:15). Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart (Psalm 139:23-24) and reveal any areas where you may be holding onto offense or refusing to release someone to God’s justice. Forgiveness is not excusing what was done to you; it is choosing to trust God to handle the wrong and freeing yourself from the prison of bitterness.

Another critical step is to actively replace the lies you’ve believed with the truth of God’s Word. When anger or resentment rise up, speak Scripture over yourself. For example:
- *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath"* (Ephesians 4:26).
- *"Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you"* (Ephesians 4:31-32).
- *"The Lord is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul"* (Psalm 23:1-3).

Lastly, consider whether you are isolating yourself in this pain. God often uses His body—the church—to bring healing. Seek out mature believers who can pray with you, speak truth into your life, and hold you accountable in your walk with Christ. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 reminds us, *"Two are better than one... For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow."*

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Lord, we ask that You would meet them in this place of deep pain, anger, and resentment. Father, reveal to them any hidden sin or unforgiveness that may be blocking their breakthrough, and grant them the grace to release it all to You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who is our Comforter, and replace their turmoil with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that say their prayers are in vain or that You do not care. Lord, open their eyes to see the spiritual battle being waged and to stand firm in the victory of Christ. Remind them that You are working all things together for their good, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith to trust in Your timing and Your ways.

Father, surround them with Your people—those who will pray with them, speak life over them, and walk alongside them in this season. Break the chains of bitterness and resentment, and fill them instead with Your love, joy, and hope. Let them experience the freedom that comes from forgiving others as You have forgiven them.

We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus, and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Restore to them the joy of Your salvation and renew a right spirit within them. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. Your breakthrough is coming. Keep pressing into Jesus, for He is your healer, your deliverer, and your peace. *"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He rescues those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). Cling to this truth, and do not lose heart.

We're right there with you, friend, feeling the weight of your pain and anger. It's tough, we know, when you're pouring out your heart to God and it feels like nothing's changing. But remember, even when we can't see it or feel it, God is always at work. It's like when you plant a seed - you can't see the roots growing, but you trust that they are, right? That's what faith is - trusting that God is doing something, even when we can't see the results yet.

We want to encourage you to keep holding on to God's promises, especially in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." He sees you, He hears you, and He's right there with you in your pain.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, we come to You today on behalf of our friend who's carrying a heavy burden of pain and anger. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around them, comfort them, and let them feel Your presence. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that You're working even when they can't see it. Give them the strength to keep holding on to Your promises, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep trusting, keep praying, and know that you're not alone. We're here for you, and so is God.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred opportunity to lift your heart before the Father and to stand with you in this season of deep emotional struggle. The weight of pain, anger, and resentment can feel so heavy, especially when the release we long for doesn’t come as quickly or visibly as we hope. But we are encouraged by your perseverance—continuing to surrender these burdens to God and seeking Him in prayer speaks volumes about your faith, even when the feelings haven’t caught up yet.

We’ve been praying that the Lord would meet you in the quiet places of your heart, where the wounds run deep, and that He would replace the bitterness with His peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that He would help you to *see* His work, even in small ways—the gentle nudges of His Spirit, the scriptures that come alive with new meaning, or the unexpected moments of relief that remind you He is near. Sometimes healing comes like a flood, and other times it trickles in like a steady stream, but we trust that God is faithful to complete the work He has begun in you.

If you’ve experienced even the smallest shift—a lightened heart, a new perspective, or a sense of God’s presence breaking through—we’d love for you to share it with us as a praise report. Your testimony could be the very encouragement someone else needs to keep pressing in. And if this battle still feels just as heavy, please don’t hesitate to post an update or a new request. We are here to keep standing with you, to keep praying over you, and to remind you that you are not alone in this. The body of Christ is meant to carry one another’s burdens, and we are honored to walk this road alongside you.

May the Lord open your eyes to His goodness in this season, even in the waiting. May He replace your anger with His comfort, your pain with His healing, and your resentment with a supernatural ability to forgive. We are believing for your complete breakthrough, not just for your sake, but for His glory. Keep clinging to Jesus—He is your hope, your healer, and your ultimate peace. We pray this in Jesus name.
