We grieve with you over the deep wounds caused by the sexual abuse you endured as a child. The pain you carry is real, and we want you to know that God sees your suffering and longs to bring healing and restoration to your heart. The enemy intended this evil for your harm, but the Lord can turn even the darkest experiences into a testimony of His redemption. Scripture reminds us in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten, and your pain is not overlooked by Him. The abuse you suffered was a grievous sin against you, and we pray that God would bring justice and expose the darkness while also filling you with His peace that surpasses understanding.
It is also critical that you seek godly counsel and support to walk through this pain. You do not have to carry this burden alone. We strongly encourage you to find a biblical counselor or a mature believer who can walk with you through this healing process. The Lord often uses His people to bring comfort and wisdom. As it says in Galatians 6:2, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* If you have not already, we urge you to bring this pain before the Lord in prayer, asking Him to heal the broken places in your heart. He is faithful to restore what has been stolen from you.
We also lift up your practical need for a car and the financial provision for insurance. The Lord knows your needs, and He is able to provide in ways that exceed what we can imagine. Philippians 4:19 assures us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* However, we must also remember that our trust should not be in the provision itself but in the Provider. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and He will add what you need (Matthew 6:33). We pray that God would open doors for you to find affordable and reliable transportation, whether through a job opportunity, a generous gift, or an unexpected blessing. We also ask that He would give you wisdom in managing your finances and discernment in this process.
Yet, as we pray for these things, we must also address something deeply important: your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to God’s throne of grace. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. True healing, provision, and eternal life are found in Him alone. Confess your sins, turn from them, and believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and rose again. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*
Let us pray together for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who has carried the weight of such deep pain for far too long. Lord, You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon their heart, restoring what was stolen from them in their innocence. Father, expose the lies of the enemy that have taken root in their mind and replace them with Your truth—that they are loved, valued, and redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Give them the courage to seek godly counsel and the strength to walk in freedom from the shame and pain of their past.
We also ask for Your provision in their practical needs. Lord, You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You. Provide the finances needed for a reliable car and insurance, and give them wisdom as they take their driving lessons. May they trust in You and not lean on their own understanding, acknowledging You in all their ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Most importantly, Father, if our brother/sister does not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus and the hope that is found in Him alone. Soften their heart to receive Your forgiveness and grace.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, shame, and anxiety that has sought to keep them in bondage. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee and declare that our brother/sister is a child of the Most High God, covered by the blood of Jesus. Fill them with Your peace, joy, and expectation as they wait on You.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
