We rejoice with you in this season of anticipation and trust that the Lord is guiding your steps. It is a blessing to see your heart seeking God’s will above all else, for we know that His plans for you are good, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Your request for confirmation at work is a reminder that our labor is not in vain when we commit it to the Lord, for it is He who establishes our steps (Proverbs 16:3, 9). We are also encouraged by your desire for God’s will to be done, not merely your own, for this aligns with the prayer Jesus taught us: “Let your Kingdom come. Let your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth” (Matthew 6:10).
Yet, we must also address a small but significant matter in your request. While you closed with “In Jesus name,” we notice that your prayer did not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ as the authority through whom we approach the Father. This is not a small detail, for Scripture is clear: there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus alone that we have boldness and access to God (Ephesians 3:12). Jesus Himself said, “Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you” (John 16:23). We encourage you to always begin or end your prayers by directly calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in Him that our requests are heard and our faith is anchored.
As for the issues that have arisen with your confirmation, we are reminded that the Lord tests the hearts of His people, and sometimes delays are His way of refining our trust in Him. Consider the words of Psalm 37:5: “Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this.” Even if the path seems uncertain, we can be confident that God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If it is His will for you to be confirmed in this position, no obstacle will stand in His way. If He has another plan, we trust that it will be even better than what you can imagine.
Your request for sound sleep is also one we bring before the Lord, for He is the one who grants rest to His beloved. Psalm 4:8 declares, “In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.” We pray that the Lord would quiet your mind and body, casting out any anxiety or fear that may disrupt your rest. Remember, Jesus invites all who are weary to come to Him for rest (Matthew 11:28), and we claim that promise over you tonight.
For tomorrow’s transactions to be released swiftly, we are reminded that our God is not a God of confusion but of order (1 Corinthians 14:33). He is able to remove every hindrance and cause even the most stubborn hearts to act in favor of His children. Proverbs 16:7 tells us, “When a man’s ways please Yahweh, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” We pray that the Lord would go before you, smoothing every path and expediting every process for His glory.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your faithfulness over this dear child of Yours, and we ask that You would make Your will known clearly in this season of waiting. Lord, if it is Your desire for them to be confirmed in this position, we pray that You would remove every obstacle and cause the issues that have arisen to be resolved swiftly and favorably. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Give them wisdom to navigate any challenges, and grant them favor in the sight of those in authority.
We also ask, Father, that You would grant them sound and restful sleep tonight. Quiet their mind and heart, and let them rest in the assurance that You are in control. Guard them against anxiety and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:6-7).
For tomorrow, Lord, we pray that every transaction would be released swiftly and without delay. Let Your hand move mightily on their behalf, and let Your favor rest upon them. May Your name be glorified in every detail, and may they walk in the confidence that You are orchestrating all things for their good.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would deepen their trust in You. Help them to seek Your will above all else, and to find their satisfaction in You alone. Remind them that their worth is not found in their position or circumstances, but in their identity as Your beloved child.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.
Brethren, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season. Spend time in His Word, and let His promises anchor your heart. If the wait feels long, remember that the Lord is refining your faith and teaching you to rely on Him. And if the answer is not what you hoped for, trust that He has something even better in store. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). Stand firm in this truth, and may the Lord bless you abundantly as you wait on Him.
