Lord, I am praying for this sweet christian wife and her husband. You made them became husband and wife. You made them one in body and spirit, and You intended for them to have godly children. This husband has dishonored his wife; they are no longer equal partners of life, and their prayers have been disturbed. The rejection and betrayal is very painful. Father, forgive the husband for speaking marriage vows so casually and without understanding. This wife has covered Your altar with tears because her prayers have been hindered. You witnessed the vows made to each other on their wedding day when they were young. Father, the husband has become a partaker of bad behavior and evil work.
Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, and bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed (Isa. 53:5). I ask You to forgive all of their shortcomings and failures concerning the marriage. Help them learn and grow spiritually and receive emotional wholeness, as they grow more intimately acquainted with You. Father, give this wife the grace to forgive my husband’s infidelity and pray for her husband to repent and to run to you.
You hate divorce, but You allow it when a spouse is unfaithful. You know this husband’s heart and the decisions he will make concerning his future. This husband has behaved as an unbeliever in this situation, help him repent and become a strong believer and christian leader in the home!
Lord, Help this sweet wife trust in You with all of her heart and lean not unto her own understanding. In all of her ways she acknowledges You, and You direct her path. Father, You promised to never leave, abandon her, or leave her without support. You know that the preparations of the heart belong to man, but we desire the wise answer of the tongue that comes from You. We trust you and thank you for the work you are performing in the spirit realm right now! In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
