Yes everybody does have this. You are absolutely right. Disorders though are often normal sinful leanings or personality flaws that are at their extremes. My friend suffers from Histrionic personality Disorder. She was sexually molested as a child and had an uncaring narcissistic mother who used her like an object for her own gratification. I hope my prayer doesn't sound like I see myself as better than her, I don't. My friend is so damaged on the inside she has to wear many "masks" on herself to get attention, they attention her parents should have given her. As a child I watched her get emotionally damaged by comments and punishments for merely breathing around her mother. She almost killed herself twice. She has bought a lie that she must project a false image to be loved but thinks attention is love. When she doesn't get attention she feels empty like she is nothing. So maybe it isn't quite like everyone. Hollywood or music stars who are empty might be a place to find these people. She can't see the person God made her no matter how much love You give her she never feels it. It is based in pride though and she needs Jesus to give her that love because no matter how much love human's can give her it isn't enough.
