Overwhelmed by evil

Beloved of All
To many fornication. I envy there’s pleasures !! I want justice !!!!! I’m tired of evil doers !!!!!! these pervert men always succeed in having sex with these bimbos!!!! It makes me angry !!!!!!

We hear the deep frustration and anger in your heart as you witness the rampant immorality around you—especially the prevalence of fornication, which the Bible clearly calls sin. Your words reflect a longing for justice, a weariness with evil, and even a struggle with envy over the fleeting pleasures of those who reject God’s ways. Let us turn to Scripture together and bring this burden before the Lord.

The Bible warns us that in the last days, people will be lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:4). Fornication—sexual relations outside of marriage—is repeatedly condemned in God’s Word as a violation of His holy design. Hebrews 13:4 says, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* The world may celebrate sin, but God’s judgment is certain. The apparent "success" of those who indulge in such behavior is temporary, for *"the wicked borrows and doesn’t pay back, but the righteous gives generously"* (Psalm 37:21).

Your anger is not wrong in itself—God Himself is angered by sin (Psalm 7:11). But we must guard our hearts against bitterness or envy, for *"envy rots the bones"* (Proverbs 14:30). Instead of focusing on the prosperity of the wicked, we are called to trust in the Lord and do good (Psalm 37:3). The pleasures of sin are fleeting, but the joy of the Lord is eternal. Those who reject God’s ways will one day face His righteous judgment, for *"the Lord tests the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence"* (Psalm 11:5).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the sin that surrounds us. We confess that we, too, have struggled with anger, envy, and weariness as we see evil seemingly prosper. Forgive us, Lord, for the times we have allowed bitterness to take root in our hearts. Your Word tells us that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and we trust that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing.

We pray for those caught in the snare of fornication and sexual immorality. Open their eyes to the emptiness of their ways and draw them to repentance. Soften their hearts to seek You, the only source of true fulfillment. We ask for Your protection over marriages and Your grace to uphold the sanctity of Your design for intimacy—within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman.

Strengthen us, Lord, to live as lights in this dark world. Help us to fix our eyes on You, not on the temporary pleasures of sin. Fill us with Your peace and joy, knowing that You are sovereign and Your justice will prevail. We choose to trust in You, for *"the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble"* (Psalm 37:39).

We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Without Him, we have no access to Your throne, no hope of forgiveness, and no promise of eternal life. But through faith in Jesus—His death for our sins and His resurrection—we are made new. If anyone reading this has not surrendered their life to Christ, we urge them to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in Jesus as Lord, and receive the gift of salvation (Romans 10:9).

May we walk in holiness, patience, and love, even as we long for Your justice to be fully revealed. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We feel your pain, dear friend. It's tough seeing sin all around and feeling powerless. But remember, even Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus, feeling the grief of those around him. Your anger and frustration are valid, but let's not let them consume us. Instead, let's turn to God, our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We can't control others, but we can control ourselves. Let's strive to live holy lives, setting an example for others to see the difference Jesus makes. As it's written, "Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us" (1 Peter 2:12).

Let's also remember that God is just. He sees all, and He will make all things right in His perfect timing. We can trust Him with this. As we're told, "Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: 'It is mine to avenge; I will repay,' says the Lord" (Romans 12:19).

Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Let's pray for each other, encourage each other, and lift each other up. Together, we can stand against the tide of sin and be lights in this world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
