Overwhelmed And Afraid

For ten years we have been in a monumental struggle for survival; our ranching livelihood first assaulted by every imaginable natural and market disaster, then by scammers that I thought were God's answer to my fervent prayers to save our failing livelihood. Things seem to go from bad to worse and worse and worse. We have been plagued with many dying calves, major equipment breakdowns, massive unexpected expenses, and the fear of more drought with no moisture. Please pray for mercy & miraculous provision in the terrifying shortfalls we face this week and in the weeks to come; for rain; for freedom from ever-present fear & dread; for faith & hope & peace for my discouraged unbelieving husband; for freedom from continuing threats and demands from the scammers who got us into our current state of ruin & desperation; that I may not bring shame to God's holy name in any way in the midst of our struggles; for enough relief from the crashing waves that I can get a breath of air before the next assault.

Father i lift this ranch upto you in the name of Jesu Christ. Lord bless them with provision and freedom from every type of negative thing happening to them. Father restore them just like you did to job after he kept trusting you and didn't fall away when he kept his faith in you despite all of the horrific torment he went through. She knows that You are the only one who can lift her up from these terrible circumstances. If You will it, please give her the courage and the fortitude to 'press on' and keep going, for You are her ultimate shepherd and we ask You to bless her what her misery has been tenfold.

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamed he was walking along

the beach with the Lord.

Across the dark sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene, he noticed

two sets of footprints in the sand,

one beloning to him and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,

he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of his life

there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the

very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.

"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,

you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most

troublesome times in my life there is

only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why when I needed you most

you would leave me."

The Lord replied "My precious, precious child,

I love you and would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffereing,

when you see only one set of footprints in the sand,

it was then that I carried you."
