Disciple of Prayer
Please pray as really struggling for a long time with a sex addiction and awake a lot at night. Really miss a partner as single but have an overseas partner though rarely see in person.

We lift you up in prayer, dear brother, as you battle this deep struggle with sexual addiction—a fight that has weighed heavily on your heart and mind for far too long. The enemy seeks to ensnare us in bondage, but we know that in Christ, there is freedom and victory over every sin. The Word of God declares in 1 Corinthians 10:13, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure."* You are not alone in this, and God has not abandoned you. His grace is sufficient, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We must address with love but firmness the reality of your situation. First, sexual addiction is a serious sin that grieves the Holy Spirit, and it must be repented of and turned away from completely. The Bible is clear in 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5: *"For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality, that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own body in sanctification and honor, not in the passion of lust, even as the Gentiles who don’t know God."* Sexual immorality—whether through pornography, lust, or any other form—defiles the temple of the Holy Spirit, which is your body (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). You must flee from this sin and pursue holiness, for without it, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

Second, we are concerned about your mention of an "overseas partner." If this is not a biblically grounded courtship leading toward marriage with a fellow believer, it is not honoring to God. The Bible teaches that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and any relationship outside of this design is not of God. If this person is not your spouse, then this relationship must be evaluated in light of Scripture. Are you both committed Christians? Is there a clear, godly purpose for this relationship, with marriage as the goal? If not, this connection may be fueling your struggle rather than helping you overcome it. Proverbs 13:20 warns, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* You must surround yourself with accountability—brothers in Christ who will spur you on toward righteousness, not temptation.

Lastly, your loneliness is real, and we understand the deep longing for companionship. But we urge you to seek fulfillment in Christ first, for He alone can satisfy the deepest desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 says, *"Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."* If marriage is God’s will for you, He will provide a godly spouse in His perfect timing. But you must be walking in obedience and purity, trusting Him rather than seeking to fill the void through sinful means. Remember, Jesus Himself was single and understood loneliness, yet He found His strength in the Father. You, too, can find peace in His presence.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, who is trapped in the snare of sexual addiction and the pain of loneliness. Lord, we ask for Your mighty hand to break every chain of sin in his life. Convict him deeply of his need for repentance and renewal. Wash him clean by the blood of Jesus and fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in victory over temptation. Father, we rebuke the enemy who seeks to destroy him—let every stronghold of lust be torn down in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom regarding his "overseas partner." If this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, give him the courage to let it go. Surround him with godly brothers who will hold him accountable and encourage him in purity. If it is Your will for him to marry, prepare a godly wife for him—a woman who loves You and will walk beside him in faith. But above all, let him find his satisfaction in You alone.

Father, we ask for rest for his weary soul. He lies awake at night, tormented by his struggles—grant him peace that surpasses all understanding. Let him meditate on Your Word day and night, that it may be a lamp to his feet and a light to his path. Strengthen him, Lord, and remind him that he is not fighting alone. You are with him, and we, his brothers and sisters in Christ, stand with him in prayer.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Brother, we strongly encourage you to take immediate steps toward freedom:
1. **Confess and repent**—Bring this sin before God and turn away from it completely (1 John 1:9).
2. **Seek accountability**—Find a mature Christian man or group (like a biblical counseling ministry) to walk with you in this fight.
3. **Remove temptations**—Delete any ungodly materials, apps, or connections that fuel your addiction. *"If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna"* (Matthew 5:29).
4. **Fill your mind with Scripture**—Memorize verses like Psalm 119:9, *"How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word."* and 1 Corinthians 6:18, *"Flee sexual immorality! Every other sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."*
5. **Pursue Christ above all**—Your identity is in Him, not in your struggles or relationships.

You *can* overcome this through Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13). Do not lose heart—keep fighting, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith. We are standing with you in this battle.

We're here with you, brother. We understand the relentless struggle you're facing with this addiction, and we know the loneliness you feel can be overwhelming. But remember, you're not alone. We're praying for you, and Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way.

We want to encourage you to keep fighting, to keep resisting the temptations that come your way. It's a daily battle, but with God's strength, you can overcome. We're reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust in His power, brother. He's got you.

We also want to encourage you to seek support. Find a trusted brother in Christ, maybe even a group, to hold you accountable. You don't have to fight this alone. And remember, it's okay to stumble, but it's not okay to stay down. Get back up, confess, and keep moving forward.

Lastly, brother, keep your heart and mind pure. Fill them with God's Word. It's a shield against temptation. And remember, your worth is not defined by your struggles or relationships. You are a child of God, loved and cherished.

Keep fighting, brother. We're right here with you, praying for you, believing in you. You can do this, in Jesus' name.

Our sinful desires can teach us a lot about our spiritual needs, everything is the opposite. In reality you are out of fellowship with God and you desire to be in a relationship with God. Let's pray.

Lord, we desire the water that you can give us, this living water, if we drink of it, we shall never thirst again, this world makes us thirsty for things and we keep on coming back to the same. Lord, have pity, look down from heaven and have mercy, we plead in Jesus mighty name, amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
