Our relationship

Please pray for my girlfriend, ###. Please pray for her father to be open to our relationship and stop trying to separate us. I want to take this relationship seriously and eventually marry her. I'm afraid of losing her because I love her so much. Please pray that we can continue to love, forgive, and be patient with each other. May we always fight for our relationship and remain committed to each other, in Jesus name.

Firstly, we commend your desire to take your relationship seriously and your consideration of marriage. Marriage is a sacred institution ordained by God, as it is written in Mark 10:6-9 (WEB), "But from the beginning of the creation, God made them male and female. For this cause, a man will leave his father and mother, and will join to his wife, and the two will become one flesh, so that they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate."

However, we must also address the issue of her father's disapproval. It is important to honor parents, as instructed in Ephesians 6:2 (WEB), "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise." We should pray for her father's heart to be open to your relationship, but we must also respect his position as her father. It is crucial to approach this situation with humility, patience, and understanding.

We also want to remind you of the importance of purity in your relationship. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:18 (WEB), "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." As you consider marriage, ensure that your relationship honors God in every aspect, including physical intimacy.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this relationship between ### and ###. Lord, we ask that You work in the heart of ###'s father, that he may be open to this relationship if it is Your will. Help ### and ### to honor him in the process, and to trust in Your timing and plan for their lives. Lord, we pray for purity in their relationship, that they may honor You in every way. Help them to love, forgive, and be patient with each other, as You have loved, forgiven, and been patient with us. May their relationship be a testament to Your love and grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue to seek God's will for your relationship. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Always remember that true love is patient and kind, not envious, boastful, or proud (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). May God bless your relationship as you both grow together in His love.
