Our pastor was asked to leave the church and get help with his addiction to prescription drugs. He had been stealing pills, asking member if they had "filled their prescriptions", he even came by our home after my father had pancreatitis and was given pain meds, we didn't let him into the house.

He needs prayer and to get right with God, NO pastor should do this to his church. the church is left divided and in desperate need of healing. Pray for our church for new direction and healing

And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus.  God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site.  Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus,  my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

The pastor is intentionally "doing" this to hurt the church?  I don't think so. How many times has the pastor been there for members of the congregation when they were sick, desperate, in need of some help, listening to their complaints, being subjected to criticism, trying to live a decent life?  And now the "church" needs healing, and not the pastor?  Is not the pastor a member of the congregation. Yes, he assumed the responsibility  of being pastor.  That is a lot of pressure to be put on anyone.  Anyone who tries to make a message out of a mess of people who are mismatched, have messes themselves, has to have a lot of courage.  

   It is mostly the medical profession who can have the finger pointed at them.  People are given prescriptions without the doctor or the patient "knowing" the consequences. Is the church congregation interested "helping" drug addicts, or in just certain drug addicts.  Yes, I would say the pastor needs to step aside and seek help, but he needs help now, just like another drug addict, and like other members of the congregation needed help in the past. There are ministries who help pastors make it through their problems.  Andrew Wommack Ministries in Colorado Springs, at awmi.net, could offer some support. 

The pastor needs to "get right" with God, but it sounds like the members of the congregation also need to "get right" with God.  When Jesus was confronted with the woman caught in adultery for approval to stone her, He suggested that the one who was without sin could cast the first stone.  Jesus was the only person there who me that suggestion, and he did not condemn her or stone her. 

In the name of Jesus, I bless you and the congregation with the life of God.

He preyed upon 50 families, going to visit and when going to the bathroom,  stole their medications ! This is the third church, which we are just now finding out now, that he's done this too. God is in control.

If God is "in control" then this man must be in the position of pastor because God was "in control" and put him in that place.!?  And if God put him in that position because He is "in control", then why is the congregation trying to get rid of him if it is God's Will for the pastor to be there.  If God is "in control" then the congregation must also be doing the Will of God  by wanting the pastor gone.!?  That is confusion.

The man is in this position because people put him there. It was the Will of the people to put him in this position, and God will not go against the will of the people. I can guarantee you that God made known to someone, most likely several people, what the man was all about in his past. But the promptings  and revelations were ignored.  There was envying and strife already in the congregation before this man was put in as pastor, and now it  is out in the open.  And God is to blame because "He is in control"? 

I would say that the entire congregation needs to have a season of repentance and seeking the Lord's Will. The goal should be to restore this pastor, this man, not condemn him and send him on his way to some other congregation. Every time someone points a finger, there are three fingers pointing back at themselves. 

In the name of Jesus, I bless you with the life of God.  I bless the congregation and the pastor. I bless the building of the congregation.  Thank you Jesus.
