Our God is Able
Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25 (NKJV)
Our God is able to save your spouse, children and loved ones. You must believe in the power of your Lord God. Each day you must open your spiritual ears and eyes and be willing to be obedient. Do you believe that your Lord is able to touch and move mountains of circumstances to heal and restore your marriage? I do, because my Lord did it for Bob and me. He is able to touch and change your spouse's heart, soul and spirit. Just wait on God's perfect timing!
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.... For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day. 1 Timothy 1:7,12 (NKJV)
I pray that you will start to believe that your Lord God is able to do more than we ask, BUT also more than your imagination can comprehend. Do you believe? Dear one, choose to step out in faith today and believe in Jesus Christ who arose and defeated Satan. If Jesus Christ has touched and changed you into a child of God, why should you doubt that it is too hard for your spouse to also be touched by your Lord? I do not know what your answer is because I do not know all that your spouse is doing, (drugs, alcohol, sexual immorality, or another avenue of sin) or how hardhearted they may be right now. In fact, they may not forgive you for all that you have done to your marriage. Don't worry. Remember:
"For nothing is impossible with God." Luke 1:37
Your Lord God is able to do anything!
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us. Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
Several years ago I went to a banquet whose program was called, "Light A Candle Of Hope For The Hopeless." That evening we heard of testimonies from people who lived in the worst part of Ft. Lauderdale who had come to know their Lord Jesus Christ because one church and people chose to make a difference by having activities in a city park. They invited children and parents to hear music, watch puppet shows, face painting activities and gave out food to help the needy.
After continued outreach activities over a period of time, the end result was salvation of people who looked poor and hopeless, but who became rich in the Lord as He changed their entire lives.
We heard from two women who had been on drugs and lost everything. Their lives have been changed completely. Now both women attend church, are working, living in a half-way house, being discipled before going out on their own. One woman shared that she was restoring her relationship with her four children and had attended church with them recently. God is able to do anything, if only we will pray and not give up on people, because of what we see or hear.
Imagine what a difference you can make when you surrender your will, your way, and your life to your Lord Jesus Christ. I know because one Sunday evening, many years ago, I surrendered my will and my choices to follow my Lord's will and way for my life. I could have never imagined how the Lord would use my heartache and pain of divorce to help others fight for their spouse and family. Instead, we are proclaiming around the world, "God heals hurting and dead marriages."
Your Lord God is able to do anything in your life if you will humble yourself, seek His face and pray. You and I both have made mistakes in our marriages. We all have. But our Lord God is right there beside you, waiting for you to ask Him to move the mountain of circumstances. The Lord wants to strengthen you when you are weary and tired. He wants to go and deliver your spouse and loved ones from the traps of sin that they have fallen into.
Are you ready to make a difference in your and your family's life? Choose today to surrender everything to your Lord, picking up your cross and following your Lord Jesus Christ forever. Don't ask how long will it take. Just know the Lord knows what is best for you and your marriage. God is able to restore and heal your life, your marriage and your family! He will never forsake you. Bob and I are living proof of that over and over again and especially now. Now praise your Lord for His faithfulness.
To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy -- to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our LORD, before all ages, now and forevermore. Amen. Jude 24-25
