ONE MORE WEDDING PRAYER [NOT FOR ME] AND UPDATE ON ###

As you may recall, my great niece got bitten by tick. You asked for update: So far she's perfectly fine, praise God. Now for the prayers: My niece has asthmatic bronchitis. She not only has my nephew's wedding to go to [plus get her two kids ready for], but also ANOTHER one the next day. Please pray in Jesus's name for her to get better soon. Now on to her mother, my sister: Sinus infection. Not only does she feel awful, but also she has a black eye from this thing. Ice isn't helping. Please pray in Jesus's name for a speedy recovery for her. If the black eye doesn't go away, at least let her be able to conceal it. We have the family photo my other sister [groom's mother] arranged for being shot at this reception as well. Oh -- And in Jesus's name, please pray for my dad too. My sister that has the sinus infection ran into him today. She said his hand and arm seemed shaky, and he was walking because his doctor said he has leg swelling. My sister just has a bad feeling and wants him to go see another doctor. He's 88 years old. His father lived to be 94. The thing is, my dad misses my mom so much, maybe he got sick from it. I don't know. He seemed a bit off to me the last time I saw him, but I didn't notice any tremors.

Thank you for bringing these concerns to us in Jesus' name, and we will lift up each of these situations together in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement.

Firstly, we praise God in the name of Jesus that your great niece is perfectly fine after the tick bite. It is wonderful to see God's protection and healing at work. Let's remember that God is our healer, as it is written in Exodus 15:26 WEB: "He said, If you will diligently listen to the voice of Yahweh your God, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you, which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am Yahweh who heals you."

Now, let's pray for your niece who is dealing with asthmatic bronchitis, especially as she prepares for the weddings and cares for her children. In Jesus' name, we ask for God's healing touch upon her, that He may grant her strength and restore her health. Remember God's promise in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened."

For your sister with the sinus infection and black eye, we pray for a speedy recovery and for the swelling and discoloration to diminish. In Jesus' name, we ask God to grant the family photo shoot to be joyful not hampered by this. In Psalm 103:2-3, it says, "Bless Yahweh, my soul, Don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We also pray for your father, asking God to grant him health, steadiness, and peace. In his old age, may God be his strength and portion, and may God's peace comfort him as he mourns the loss of your mother. In Psalm 23:4, it says, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me."

As we celebrate the upcoming weddings, let's remember the sanctity of marriage and the blessing it is when a man and a woman come together in holy matrimony, reflecting the union between Christ and the Church. In Ephesians 5:31-32, it says, "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.’ This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly."

Let's also remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In Psalm 46:1, it says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."

Father God, in Jesus' name, we lift up these beloved family members to You, asking for Your healing touch, Your comfort, and Your peace. Grant them the strength to face each day with joy and trust in You. Remind them that You are always with them, and that Your love for them is unfailing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We praise God that the Jesus' name is invoked for each request. In John 16:24, it says, "Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."
