Metro Prayer for August 1, 2008

The Sudanese Outreach asks that we pray the following for the Sudanese population in Omaha:

1. Protection for families that have been separated because of war. Many of these families still have loved ones in Sudan or a refugee camp.

2. Sudanese families need jobs and housing.

3. Pray for the children to be accepted in our schools. Many of them face difficulties in school because of cultural differences.

Lev.19:34--The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

The weather in the Metro area is expected to be in the 90's all week with Sunday expected to be dangerously hot. Please pray for those most at risk; the young, senior citizens and the homeless that they will be able to find shelter from the heat.

Isaiah 25:4 You have been a refuge for the poor, a refuge for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat.

The ministry Angel on Wheels provides a critical link from the church to the streets and neighborhoods to minister to the lost, meet their physical needs, and connect them to long-term relationships built on Jesus. The team involves over a dozen churches. This Friday they plan to minister in the Metro area and would appreciate prayer for divine appointments and prepared hearts among those the team serves.

Romans 1:16 I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 17 For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

pray for true revival to happen in Omaha Nebraska and

pray for churches in the Omaha area that have fallen into false teachings will turn back to sound doctrine and

pray for those in the area that have fallen away from Jesus will turn back torwads JESUS

Father, thank you for allowing us to pray for these people who are going through terrible persecution and poverty. I pray for a revival in Omaha, that the spirit would go forth and draw people to you and to each other in a devine outpouring. I pray that the christian church would see a revival such as they have never witnessed before. Cleanse the Omaha churches of all evil, remove those that would bring false teachings into your sanctuary, expose the wicked in heart and deed and let them seek forgiveness or leave the church. Remove the blinders from the eyes of the fallen, bring them back to their first love, Jesus. We pray your hand on this Ministry on Wheels, that the needs to continue would be met, that your storehouse would open wide and provide provisions for this ministry and the saints would step up to help with the ministry. For all those involved, give them strength to go forth, wisdom to know your will, love to extend into the community and blessings upon blessings for their faithfulness. Open doors, Father in Heaven, that need to be opened to bless this community. Send people to help and programs to meet their needs. Calm their fears and replace with the sweet peace of Jesus. Let Omaha feel your mighty power as the community sees and feels the work of the Holy Spirt. And to you be all glory, honor and praise! Haleluia! A-men
