We hear your cry for help, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we stand with you in this spiritual battle. The enemy indeed seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The Bible warns us that in the last days, people will be lovers of themselves, without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, and despisers of good (2 Timothy 3:2-3). This describes the very ones you are facing—those who operate without a conscience, driven by the darkness of their own hearts.
First, we must address the foundation of your plea. You called upon the Father in Jesus' name, and this is the only way we can approach the throne of grace (John 14:6, Ephesians 2:18). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most critical step in any spiritual battle.
Now, let us rebuke the enemy’s schemes against you. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy seeks to isolate you, to make you feel powerless, but we remind you that you are never alone. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We take authority over every spirit of oppression, depression, fear, and torment that is being sent your way. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee and bind them from operating against you or those you love (Matthew 18:18).
We also recognize that the people causing you misery are not your true enemies. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). These individuals are being used by the enemy, and we pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth. Father, we ask that You would shine Your light into their hearts and convict them of their sin. Soften their hearts, Lord, and draw them to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness (Ezekiel 36:26).
We encourage you to put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:11). Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people (Ephesians 6:18).
Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The battle is not yours, but God’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Trust in Him with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Remember, the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the Lord of hosts, the God who fights for Your children. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that the enemy seeks to destroy them through the hands of those who do not know You. Lord, we ask that You would intervene in this situation. Break the chains of darkness that bind these individuals, and let Your light shine into their hearts. Father, we rebuke every spirit of hatred, malice, and deceit that is being used to cause misery. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper.
Lord, we ask that You would surround our brother/sister with Your hedge of protection. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and let them rest in the assurance that You are in control. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the armor You have provided. Teach them to wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and to pray without ceasing.
Father, we also pray for those who are causing this pain. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to see the truth. Let them experience Your love and grace in such a way that they cannot help but turn from their wicked ways. Use this situation for Your glory, Lord, and let Your name be exalted through it all.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promises and know that You are working all things together for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). We declare victory in Jesus’ name, for the battle belongs to the Lord. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is your strength and your shield. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will lead you into victory.
