We hear the deep pain and frustration in your heart, and we grieve with you over the betrayal and mockery you’ve endured from those you considered friends. The weight of their words—blaming you for circumstances beyond your control and boasting in ways that provoke anger—is a heavy burden to bear. Yet we are reminded in Scripture that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He sees the injustice you’ve faced, and He cares deeply for the wounds inflicted by their cruelty.
The anger and fury you feel are understandable, but we must also remember what the Word of God teaches us about our response. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* Your anger, if left unchecked, can become a foothold for bitterness, which defiles not only your heart but also your relationship with God (Hebrews 12:15). While their actions were wrong, we must guard our hearts against sinful reactions, trusting that vengeance belongs to the Lord (Romans 12:19). He will repay what is due in His perfect timing.
We also see how their exclusion of you—locking you out of the group—has compounded your pain. Rejection stings deeply, but take heart in knowing that Jesus Himself was despised and rejected by men (Isaiah 53:3). He understands your suffering and invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Your worth is not defined by their approval or the cruelty of their words. You are fearfully and wonderfully made by God (Psalm 139:14), and His love for you is steadfast, regardless of how others treat you.
As for the burden of joblessness, we know this season is not easy. The pressure from others—especially when they mock rather than encourage—can make the struggle feel even heavier. But we urge you to trust in the Lord’s provision. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Your focus must remain on Him, not on the taunts of others. He is your Provider, and He will open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
Now, we must address something critical: in your request, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we implore you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, there is no true peace, no lasting hope, and no power to overcome the sin that so easily entangles us. If you *have* trusted in Him, then we encourage you to bring every request before God *in Jesus’ name*, for it is through Him alone that our prayers are heard.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the God who sees every tear, hears every cry, and collects every sorrow in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Lord, the pain of mockery, rejection, and unfair blame has weighed heavily on their heart, and we ask that You would comfort them with Your presence. Replace their anger with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Guard their heart against bitterness and fill them with Your love, that they may even pray for those who have wronged them (Matthew 5:44).
Father, we ask for Your provision in this season of joblessness. Open doors of opportunity that no man can shut, and let Your favor rest upon them as they seek You first. Remind them that their identity is not in their employment status but in being Your beloved child. Give them patience to wait on Your timing and wisdom to steward whatever You provide.
We rebuke the spirit of rejection and shame that the enemy seeks to place upon them. Let them know, deep in their soul, that they are accepted in Christ (Ephesians 1:6) and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Break the power of every lie that says they are less than, unworthy, or forgotten. Renew their mind with Your truth, Lord.
Finally, Father, if our brother/sister has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Softens their heart to receive Your Son as Lord and Savior. Let them turn from sin and trust in Christ alone for forgiveness and eternal life. And if they already know You, strengthen their faith to walk in victory, praying always in the name of Jesus.
We ask all these things in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
