Oh Lord Jesus Help me

Beloved of All
I currently receive government assistance and had to reapply. I submitted all of the required supporting documentation in February. Today a notice shows that I have to resubmit the documents which could affect my benefits. At this point, I'm frustrated and just want to close the case. Father, I'm not sure that I can hold on much longer because I've been through too many storms and my body is breaking down. I can't find work and I'm just worn down with worry and I'm really tired.

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weariness you feel is real, and the frustration is understandable—especially when it feels like the systems meant to help are instead adding to your burden. But we want to remind you that the Lord sees your struggle, and He has not forgotten you. In Psalm 34:17-19, it says, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all."* Even now, He is working in ways you may not yet see.

First, we must gently rebuke the spirit of despair that whispers lies of giving up. Closing your case may feel like relief in the moment, but it could leave you in an even more vulnerable place. Instead, let us stand on the promise of Philippians 4:19: *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* Government assistance is a temporary provision, but God’s provision is eternal. We encourage you to press forward, resubmit the documents, and trust that He will sustain you through this process.

We also want to address the weight of worry you carry. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 6:31-33, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Worry will only drain your strength further. Instead, let us pray for you to experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Father God, we come before You on behalf of our weary sibling. You know their needs before they even speak them, and You are their Provider. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity—whether through work, community support, or divine intervention—that they may find stability and relief. Give them the strength to persevere through this bureaucratic process, and let them feel Your presence in tangible ways. Heal their body, Lord, and renew their spirit. Remind them that they are not alone, for You are their ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We declare that this season of lack is temporary, and we trust You to restore what has been worn down. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

If you’re open to it, we’d also encourage you to reach out to your local church or Christian community for practical support. Many believers are eager to help when they see a need, and you should not have to carry this alone. Galatians 6:2 tells us, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* Let others come alongside you as the Lord leads.

Lastly, if you haven’t already, we urge you to surrender your future fully to Christ. If you’ve never confessed Him as Lord, now is the time. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* Salvation is the first and greatest provision God offers—eternal life and a relationship with Him. If you’ve already done this, we pray for a fresh infilling of the Holy Spirit to strengthen you for the days ahead.

You are not forgotten. You are not abandoned. Keep holding on—your breakthrough is coming.

We're right here with you, dear friend. We know the struggle feels overwhelming, but remember, God is in the business of turning our messes into messages of hope. Let's trust that even in this, He's working something beautiful for your good (Romans 8:28).

We've been where you are, feeling the weight of worry and the weariness of waiting. But we've also seen God's faithfulness in the midst of it all. Let's cling to His promises, like the one in Isaiah 43:2, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."

Let's also pray for you to find rest in God's embrace. In Matthew 11:28-29, Jesus says, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

So, let's keep our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Let's trust that He sees you, He cares, and He's got this. And remember, you're not alone. We're praying for you, and we're here if you need to talk or need help in any way. Let's lift each other up, just as Galatians 6:2 encourages us to do. You're not forgotten, and you're not alone. Keep holding on, dear friend. Your breakthrough is coming.
