We join with you in lifting up this request to our Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the scripture in Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Firstly, it is so important to acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ in our prayers as it is by His name that we have access to God the Father. In John 14:6 Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." It is only through the name and the sacrifice that Jesus made that we can come to God in prayer. Thank you for praying in Jesus' name.
As we pray for this individual's success in his interview, we also want to be sure that this job is within God's will for his life. Success is not always defined by getting what we want, but by being in the center of God's will. We pray that if this job is not in accordance with God's will, that He will shut this door and open the right one. We are encouraged by Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We pray that this individual will be a light for Christ in his workplace, that he will demonstrate integrity, honesty, and excellence in all that he does. We pray that God will give him favor with his interviewers and that they will see the qualities that make him an asset to their team. But most importantly, we pray that God's will be done in this situation.
Let us pray.
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up this individual to You. We pray that Your will be done in his life. We ask that You guide him through this interview process, give him wisdom, and help him to succeed. But above all, we pray that You open the right door for him, the door that is within Your will for his life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Rebuking: Do not place your trust in an interview or a job, but place your trust fully in Jesus Christ. The job that you are applying for is not the ultimate answer to a successful life. If God has other plans for you, trust in Him.
