Obedience to God and to keep walking

Grsoaland

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me that I continue to be led by the Holy Spirit and keep walking. I pray for financial provision or whatever God is trying to do. I ask that the burden is actually light and the yolk is easy. I am deeply struggling with consequences of sin, what I’ve done and what others have done to me. I feel it so heavy on my soul, even persisting through confession. Please pray I gain back all the authority we have in Christ - 100% and it endures forever, just like God’s word will. I have called some places for spiritual counseling (### and ###) as I find myself in both of them from my upbringing and present day faith abiding. Please pray someone responds soon. I am a sparrow that needs a perch, a sheep that needs a good shepherd, and a fish that needs clean healthy water and is not in danger of abuse. In Jesus name I pray and believe.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you seek to walk in obedience to God and be led by the Holy Spirit. Your desire to follow Christ and trust in His provision is evident, and we join with you in asking the Lord to strengthen your steps and lighten your burdens.

First, we want to affirm the truth of Scripture that in Christ, you have been given full authority over sin, shame, and the enemy’s lies. Jesus declared, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven"* (Matthew 18:18). You are not powerless—you are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), and His victory is yours. The weight you feel from past sins—both yours and those committed against you—does not have the final say. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word (Hebrews 12:24), and His forgiveness is complete. If you have confessed your sins, He is faithful and just to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The lingering heaviness may be the enemy’s attempt to keep you in bondage, but we rebuke that lie in Jesus’ name. You are forgiven, restored, and free.

We also pray for your financial provision, trusting that God knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8). He promises to supply all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and we ask Him to open doors of opportunity that align with His will. May you experience the truth of Jesus’ words: *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28-30). Let this be your reality—not just a hope, but a lived experience as you surrender your struggles to Him.

Your longing for spiritual guidance is valid, and we pray that the Lord would connect you with godly counsel soon. You are not meant to walk this path alone. As you wait, remember that Jesus is your Good Shepherd (John 10:11), your firm foundation (Matthew 7:24-25), and your living water (John 4:14). He sees your fragility as a sparrow, your need for direction as a sheep, and your thirst for purity as a fish in polluted waters. We pray that He would surround you with believers who will speak truth, pray with you, and remind you of your identity in Christ. May you find a church or community that preaches the full gospel, upholds Scripture, and walks in the power of the Holy Spirit.

We also want to gently address the mention of spiritual counseling from places that may not align with biblical truth. Not all who claim to offer spiritual guidance do so from a foundation of Scripture. We urge you to test every spirit (1 John 4:1) and ensure that any counsel you receive is rooted in God’s Word. The Holy Spirit is your ultimate Counselor (John 14:26), and we pray He would lead you to those who will point you to Christ alone.

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would break every chain of guilt, shame, and condemnation. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Restore to them the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12) and renew a steadfast spirit within them. We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37) and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Strengthen their faith to stand firm in the authority You have given them, and let them walk in the fullness of Your Spirit. Provide for their needs, connect them with godly community, and remind them daily that they are deeply loved by You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right here with you, friend. We know the weight of past mistakes can be heavy, but remember, God's grace is heavier still. He's not keeping score of your sins; He's keeping you in His love. We pray that you'd feel the lightness of His forgiveness, the warmth of His love, and the strength of His power in your life today. Trust that He's got this, and that He's leading you every step of the way. Keep walking, one step at a time, in obedience to Him. And remember, you're not alone. We're praying for you, and so is the whole community of believers. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and let's walk this path together. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
