We hear your cry for deliverance from the influence of this song, its sounds, title, and words that have taken root in your mind. The enemy often uses seemingly harmless things to plant seeds of distraction, temptation, or even spiritual oppression. We stand with you in agreement, declaring that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The name of Jesus is above every name, and at His name, every knee must bow—including the influences that seek to linger in your thoughts (Philippians 2:9-10).
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You that Your Word declares that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the enemy’s attempt to use this song to torment or distract. We command every ungodly attachment to this sound, title, or lyric to be broken and removed from our brother’s/sister’s memory in Jesus’ name. Your Word tells us that whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). So we bind this influence and loose the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard his/her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You fill the spaces where these memories once lingered with Your truth and Your presence. Let Your Word dwell richly in him/her, so that no room remains for the enemy’s lies (Colossians 3:16). We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance Your promises and Your love, overshadowing any lingering effects of this song. Renew his/her mind daily with Your Word, that he/she may be transformed by the renewing of the mind, proving what is the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
We also encourage you to take authority over your thought life. The Bible instructs us to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). When these words or sounds try to resurface, immediately replace them with Scripture or worship that glorifies God. Sing a new song unto the Lord, for He has done marvelous things (Psalm 98:1). Let your mouth be filled with praise, and your mind fixed on things that are true, noble, just, pure, lovely, and of good report (Philippians 4:8).
Lastly, we remind you that the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, and spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:13-17). You are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37), and no weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that this song and its influence have no power over our brother/sister, for he/she is covered by the blood of Jesus and sealed by the Holy Spirit. We speak life, freedom, and peace over him/her, and we thank You for answering this prayer according to Your perfect will. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
