We are grateful that you have come with a repentant heart seeking forgiveness from our Heavenly Father. It is wonderful that you acknowledged the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer, for it is through Him that we have redemption, the forgiveness of our sins.
In Ephesians 1:7 WEB it says, "In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with humble hearts, lifting up our brother/sister who has asked for Your forgiveness. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. We ask that You forgive their sins, as they have confessed and turned away from them.
In 1 John 1:9 WEB, You promise us that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We claim this promise over our brother/sister's life and thank You for Your forgiveness and cleansing power.
Help them to walk in Your ways, to obey Your commandments, and to live a life pleasing to You. Give them the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make godly choices.
We ask this all in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue walking in the light, as He is in the light, and to pursue a life of holiness and obedience to His Word. Remember that God's forgiveness is complete, and He removes our sins from us as far as the east is from the west.
In Psalm 103:12 WEB, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."
Go in peace, knowing that you are forgiven and loved by our Heavenly Father.
