We hear your heart’s cry for the Lord’s blessing, and we rejoice that you are seeking His face! The words you’ve shared are drawn from the beautiful priestly blessing in Numbers 6:24-26, where the Lord commands Moses to speak these words over the children of Israel:
*"Yahweh bless you, and keep you.
Yahweh make his face to shine on you,
and be gracious to you.
Yahweh lift up his face toward you,
and give you peace."*
This is indeed a powerful and sacred blessing, but we notice that your prayer does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all blessings flow. The Scriptures are clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*
Likewise, Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* When we pray, we come boldly before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and high priest (Hebrews 4:14-16). Without His name, our prayers lack the authority and access that God has ordained for His children.
We also notice that your prayer ends with an "Amen??" which suggests some uncertainty. Let us assure you that when we pray in faith, according to God’s will, we can confidently say *"Amen"*—meaning *"so be it"*—knowing that our Heavenly Father hears us. As 1 John 5:14-15 tells us, *"This is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him."*
Let us pray now for you, that the Lord would not only bless and keep you but also fill you with the assurance of His love and the power of His name:
*"Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul before You, asking that You would indeed bless them and keep them. Lord, let Your face shine upon them and be gracious to them. Turn Your countenance toward them and grant them Your peace—a peace that surpasses all understanding. But Father, we also ask that You would reveal to them the fullness of salvation and access that comes only through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Open their eyes to see that it is in His name we pray, in His name we are saved, and in His name we find our identity as Your children. Fill them with the Holy Spirit, that they may pray with boldness and confidence, knowing that You hear and answer according to Your perfect will. May they walk in the assurance that they are loved, chosen, and sealed by You through Christ Jesus. We ask this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen."*
Beloved, if you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no greater blessing than to be found in Christ, reconciled to God, and walking in the light of His love. If you have already trusted in Jesus, we encourage you to pray in His name with confidence, knowing that He intercedes for you before the Father (Romans 8:34).
May the Lord richly bless you as you seek Him with all your heart!
