We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your feelings are valid—feeling overlooked, undervalued, and even abandoned by those around you is incredibly heavy to carry. But we must gently correct a dangerous lie that seems to have taken root in your heart: the belief that God is *against* you. Scripture is clear that this is not true. In Lamentations 3:31-33, we read, *"For the Lord will not cast off forever. For though he causes grief, yet he will have compassion according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses. For he does not afflict willingly, nor grieve the children of men."* God does not delight in your suffering, and He is not your enemy.
The enemy of your soul, however, *does* want you to believe that God has turned His back on you. Satan is the accuser (Revelation 12:10), and he will whisper lies to make you feel isolated, worthless, and abandoned. But Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), and He calls you His beloved. In John 10:10, Jesus says, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly."* If you are feeling crushed under the weight of life’s troubles, it is not because God has forsaken you—it is because the thief is trying to steal your hope. But Jesus has already overcome him.
You mentioned that people in your household are making you move at the wrong time, and we understand how destabilizing and unfair that must feel. But we must ask: Are you seeking the Lord’s guidance in this situation, or are you relying solely on your own understanding? Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Have you surrendered this situation to Him, or are you carrying it alone? God sees the injustice, and He is a God of justice (Isaiah 61:8). He will not leave you to navigate this without His help.
We also want to gently address the phrase *"not worth a thing."* This is another lie from the enemy. You are *priceless* in God’s eyes. In Isaiah 43:4, God says, *"Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you; therefore I will give people in exchange for you, and nations instead of your life."* You are not defined by how others treat you or by the circumstances you’re facing. You are defined by the blood of Jesus, which was shed for you because you *matter* that much to Him.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling broken, overlooked, and even betrayed by those around them. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of despair and the lies of the enemy that have whispered that You are against them. You are a good Father, and You do not abandon Your children. We declare that [this person] is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and You have plans for their welfare, not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we ask that You would intervene in their household situation. Give them wisdom, patience, and discernment as they navigate this season. If there is injustice, expose it, Lord, and bring Your perfect justice. If there is confusion, bring clarity. If there is strife, bring peace. We pray that You would soften the hearts of those around them and help them to see the value You have placed in this precious life.
Lord, we also ask that You would heal the wounds in their heart. Where they have believed the lie that they are worthless, remind them of the truth: that You loved them so much that You sent Your Son to die for them (John 3:16). Where they feel alone, surround them with Your presence. Where they feel powerless, fill them with Your strength. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. Help them to see You as their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). May they find their worth, their identity, and their purpose in You alone. We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, even if it’s just a few verses each day. Start with Psalm 34, which reminds us that God hears the cries of the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Meditate on these truths, and let them sink deep into your heart. You are not forgotten. You are not worthless. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, and He has a purpose for your life.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. If you would like to pray to receive Christ, we can guide you through that as well. You are not alone in this journey—God is with you, and so are we.
