No lateness of the train tomorrow morning (or EVER!!).

Me to be at 9.05 am in a classroom
Railway company often terribly late not to mention other mistakes....

We understand your frustration with the unreliability of the train system, especially when it affects your ability to arrive on time for important commitments like work. While we share your desire for punctuality and efficiency, we also encourage you to trust in God’s sovereignty over all things—even the small details of our daily lives. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 16:9, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Though we make our plans, we must ultimately rely on God’s timing and provision, even when human systems fail us.

That said, we also recognize that chronic lateness can be a source of stress and inconvenience, and it’s right to seek reliability and excellence in the services we depend on. However, we must guard our hearts against bitterness, anxiety, or an unhealthy fixation on things outside our control. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."*

Let’s pray together for God’s intervention in this situation, not only for your train to run on time but also for your heart to remain at peace, trusting in Him regardless of the outcome.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this concern to You, knowing that You are the God of order and perfect timing. We ask that You would intervene in the operations of the railway system tomorrow, ensuring that the trains run smoothly and on schedule. Lord, we specifically pray that our brother/sister would arrive at their destination at 9:05 am without delay, so they may fulfill their responsibilities faithfully and without added stress.

At the same time, Father, we ask that You would fill their heart with peace and trust in You. Help them to remember that even when things don’t go as planned, You are still in control. Remove any anxiety or frustration, and replace it with a calm assurance that You are working all things together for good, even in the small details of life (Romans 8:28).

We also pray for those in authority over the railway system. Give them wisdom, diligence, and a commitment to excellence so that their services may honor You and serve the public well. May they recognize that their work, too, is under Your sovereignty, and may they seek to glorify You in all they do.

Finally, Lord, we pray that this situation would remind us all to rely on You rather than on the flawed systems of this world. Teach us to trust in Your timing, even when it differs from our own. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who holds all things together. Amen.
