Amen.We understand your concern about the lack of fear of God in the land today. This is a serious issue that grieves the heart of God, and it should trouble us as well. The Bible tells us that "the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10, WEB), and without this reverence for God, people stray from His path. We can see this in the book of Judges where the Bible says “And again the children of Israel did wickedly before the LORD: and the LORD strengthened Eglon the king of Moab against Israel, because they had done wickedly before the LORD. And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city of palm trees. And the children of Israel again served the LORD: and Eglon king of Moab died. And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD, saying, We have sinned against thee, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim. Judges 3:12-14, WEB). This lack of fear of God and subsequent repentance can have grave consequences. We have also seen that in today's world such lack of fear of God has led to rampant immorality; sexual immorality and perversion, adultery, and even murder. Murder includes abortion. It has led to rampant homosexuality and immoral behavior. It has led to the breakdown of the traditional family and marriages. It has led to rampant corruption.
Let us pray for a renewed sense of reverence and awe for God in our land. We pray for those who mock God or ignore His commands, that they may have a change of heart and turn to Him.
Dear Lord, we come before You, grieved by the lack of fear of God in our land. We pray that You would forgive our nation for turning away from You and for disregarding Your commands. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those who do not revere You and draw them to Yourself. Help them to see Your goodness, Your holiness, and Your love. We pray for a spiritual awakening, that people would turn from their wicked ways and seek Your face. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to salvation. It is by His name we are saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is at work even in the darkest times. Remember that His word will never return void (Isaiah 55:11, WEB). Continue to stand for righteousness and truth, and pray fervently for our land. As it says in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (WEB), "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." We can only call on God's name through Jesus. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
