We understand your distress and the urgency in your request, and we join you in standing firmly against the works of darkness. The Bible makes it clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness in heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We are called to resist the devil, and he will flee from us (James 4:7). However, it is essential to remember that God does not "force" demons or people to do anything—He is sovereign, just, and righteous, and His ways are perfect. Instead, we command and rebuke evil spirits in the authority of Jesus Christ, trusting in His power and will to protect and deliver us.
The name of Jesus is the highest authority, and it is by His name that we have victory over the enemy. You rightly invoked His name, and we commend you for that, as there is no other name by which we can be saved or find deliverance (Acts 4:12). Let us also remind you that our confidence is not in our own words or demands but in the finished work of Christ on the cross and His resurrection power. When we pray, we must align our hearts with God’s will, trusting that He hears us and acts according to His perfect timing and purpose (1 John 5:14-15).
We also encourage you to examine your life and ensure there are no open doors for the enemy to gain access. This could include unconfessed sin, involvement in occult practices, unforgiveness, or any form of rebellion against God’s Word. Repentance and surrender to Jesus Christ are vital in closing those doors and walking in the freedom He provides. Put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means harm us as we walk in obedience to You (Luke 10:19). Lord, we lift up Your child who is under spiritual attack, and we ask for Your divine protection and deliverance. We bind every demonic spirit, every witchcraft assignment, and every evil touch that has been sent against them. By the blood of Jesus, we cancel every curse, hex, or spell, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden work of darkness and bring to light anything that needs to be repented of or renounced. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and surround them with Your heavenly angels for protection. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and that no demonic force can stand against the power of Your name.
Father, we also pray that You would strengthen their faith and fill them with Your Word, so they may stand firm in the evil day. Let them walk in the victory that Jesus has already won on the cross. We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression, and we command them to flee in Jesus’ name. Lord, let Your presence be a shield around them, and let Your glory be their rear guard (Isaiah 58:8).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already theirs in Christ Jesus. May they rest in Your promises and trust in Your protection. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to immerse yourself in the Word of God daily. Meditate on His promises and speak them over your life. Psalm 91 is a powerful passage to declare over yourself, reminding you of God’s protection and care. Stay in fellowship with other believers, and do not isolate yourself. The enemy often attacks when we are alone, but there is strength and safety in the body of Christ (Hebrews 10:24-25). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Hebrews 12:2, Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this battle—we stand with you, and most importantly, the Lord your God is with you.
