No cancellations and delay on my flights

The ache for a smooth journey is one I understand, and I’ll be praying with you, that every connection stays on schedule, that immigration officials will be gracious, and that you’ll be kept safe from start to finish. But my prayer goes a little deeper, because you mentioned something important: you want this solo trip to be _meaningful_. That’s a gift you’re reaching for, and I don’t want us to miss it.

Think about what makes anything truly meaningful. It isn’t just the scenery or the escape from routine. Meaningfulness only takes root when our lives align with the purpose God placed us here for, living to please Him. He gave you the power of choice, because love, worship, and even travel become hollow if you’re just a robot going through motions. So as you plan and as you go, choose to walk with Him. Your choices mature into something beautiful when you offer them back to the One who wove you together in the womb, fearfully and wonderfully made, every detail intentional.

You’re not the first to set out alone, guided by something deeper than flight paths. Creation is full of small, unaccompanied travelers, birds whose young take off weeks after their parents, navigating thousands of miles of open ocean without a map or prior experience. They fly by instincts God wrote into their very being. If He equips them for such a trek, how much more will He watch over you, someone made in His image? Even when clouds obscure every familiar sign, His unseen hand remains your true guidance.

The same God who spoke the seasons into rhythm and tilted the earth just so also controls the wind and the weather. He shut the door behind Noah to keep him safe while the storm raged outside. That’s the kind of Father you’re praying to, one whose mercy protects and whose power can calm any tempest. I’ll ask Him to give you clear skies and no cancellations, but more than that, I’ll ask Him to be your companion so you’re never really alone. When the trip feels uncertain, or when things don’t go as planned, may you find His presence more real than any itinerary.

So go, and trust Him for the details. Immigration queues, boarding calls, baggage claims, each one a small step where you can whisper, “I choose to trust You.” That’s when a solo journey becomes a pilgrimage, rich with eternal meaning. May you return not just with photos, but with a heart more awake to the God who designed you and delights in your trust.
